He grabbed the totem pole next to him, swinging it like a wild beast caught in a trap, smashing everything in sight.
His rampage paused only when he noticed the ancient stone chest in the corner had been moved ever so slightly. His heart raced as he dropped the pole. Only he and I knew the secret to opening that chest.
'She had been there,' He thought to himself.
To anyone else, that chest was just a pile of rocks. However, to Rhett and me, it was a treasure trove of memories. It was not filled with gold or property deeds, but with precious mementos of me: the hairband I lost at 16, the stone we picked up while watching the auroras in the snow, the doodle I sketched on his map.
