I muttered under my breath, “This money we’re working for, some people really have too much of it.” I parked, took a breath, and stepped out. The number of cars in the garage is insane. My little car looked painfully out of place. The landscape is breathtaking. A large well-maintained lawn. A fountain at the center. An elaborate garden. I walked to the front door and rang the bell. A man in his early fifties opened the door. “Hello, I am Emily, the new Chef.” I said. He nodded,“Okay, come on in. Mr Liam will be down shortly. Wait in the kitchen” I followed him through a foyer that belonged in the palace.

“What else can I do to help you?” asks Emily. Emily currently one of the servants here at the castle. The chef, who I later learned was known as Madam Raye, was kind enough to assign her the task of helping me. Emily, under direct orders, takes me to the second kitchen right here in the castle, allowing us to have privacy as she moves to help me with gathering my supplies.

It wouldn't do to get a beating for appearing too unkempt either. Put back together she opened the door and made her way inside. The kitchen was a chaotic firestorm of movement. There were Omegas everywhere putting together food under the watchful eye of the head chef. Holly slunk her way to her corner of the kitchen. She wasn't trusted to chop vegetables, or do any other task with a knife. Supposedly, Omegas were too emotional for such tasks. She'd like to argue that but her argument would probably include a stabbing and that wouldn't prove her point very well.

"Unloved empress," Geovanni pondered over this sentence, then said seriously, "If you play an empress who is unloved, then the emperor must've some kind of eye issue."

It was a secret letter that was only sent for her. "What do you think Fara? Will she scold me for something?" she asked. "I will cut her tongue if she do that your Highness," she answered. Talia chuckled. "Don't do that or I'll lose my loyal servant because of treason." She couldn't think of any reason as to why would the Empress want her presence. She haven't met the Empress in her past life since the Empress was known as a secretive and lunatic Empress, she was a crazy woman who likes to meddle with the other concubines and do evil things.

Chapter 89: My Beautiful Isabella Isabel stood by the fireplace, wanting to prepare something special for the empress to help restore her appetite and lift her spirits. Her sleeves were rolled up, her apron securely tied, and her hands deftly maneuvered through the delicate process of baking egg tarts. Flour dusted her cheeks and apron as she carefully measured ingredients and stirred mixtures. The staff though aware of Isabel's true identity, watched from a respectful distance. Their eyes were curious, unsure of how to interact with the imperial highness in such an informal setting.

"But, we are knows that your resignation will be valid after you are turning twenty." "I don't care." Hugo cleared his throat, "I heard Her Majesty Imperial Empress is sick. She can barely walk and spend so much time in her room." "Hmm." Max didn't even pretend to be shock or at least showing a tiny sympathy about that sad news. Kana chuckled followed by the Empress. "You little sly, why do you think that we doubted your cooking of course, it is safe." The Empress said as she get the delicious looking Leche flan. "This looks quite odd but I will surely like this." She scoop a small spoon on it, and have a taste. The texture instantly melt in her mouth. "Wow! Oh my." She eat again and again, totally losing her grand composure. Consort Pleng move to get a cinnamon roll, "Can you tell me what is this Consort Han?" her soft voice gets Kana's attention.

They responded and then the maids led her to the table where the ingredients for making the tea were. She opened every one of the ingredients and sees they were all fresh and neatly put in their jars. Reading the names in her mind, she knew the type of tea they wanted her to prepare. "The ingredients are fresh and the imperial chef tested it herself." The empress said out loudly. She turned and sees everyone watching her then she replied. "Are you implying I'm doubting the ingredients?" Making everyone whisper amongst themselves. She then poured the hot water out from the teapot into an expensive white jade mug cup.

"Mediocre. I wouldn't eat it if we have the imperial chef here," the Empress responded faintly with a straight face. "Such rustic cooking with ingredients from the wild—it is not good for presentation, but perhaps only suitable to fill one's stomach." She knew that Yvette wanted to fish compliments for Darryl. However, the harder Yvette tried, the more the Empress had resisted Darryl, especially when she thought about the Emperor's death. Ugh!
