A Sinful Devotion

A Sinful Devotion

My entire body felt too tight, too awake—like I’d been sleepwalking for a year and had only now remembered what reality felt like. My phone buzzed in my pocket. I ignored it. I couldn’t look away from him. Not now. Not ever again. Because the universe had committed a sin by giving him back to me. And I—cold, heartless Nicholas Rhodes—was not going to let him disappear again. Even if he didn’t remember me. Even if he thought I was just another customer. I would make him remember. Even if it ruined us all over again.

His Sinful Desire

His Sinful Desire

The other men was shouting something but she couldn’t hear anything. Her hand felt weak that she couldn't even lift it up. She faintly saw how Dye's expression darkened and a creaking sound made all the men stopped. There were cracks everywhere as if the air broke into thousand of pieces while Dye's blood painted his knuckles. “Damn it!” She heard a silent cursed and when she looked at the man's side profile, she realized something. Yes! He was one of the seven deadly sins. Jack the sin of lust. One of the king's in the Cabrine city. But, why did he harmed her? As far as she remembered, the seven of them were the closest friends, so why would he hurt her?

seems like an interesting read. the opening chapters and prologue had tension and some good descriptive imagery. just be sure to proofread the narration to get rid of minor punctuation errors (mostly in parts with dialogue) and to improve sentence structures. overall, intriguing plot

The story seems interesting, but I noticed sentences in the past and in the present on the same paragraph. It was hard to concentrate in the story with those changes. Needs a few corrections with this, but overall, a nice read.

HOLY HOTS

HOLY HOTS

Some how, this fragrance evoked feelings of sensuality and hot coitus desires even though it felt wrong at the moment. ''In the name of the father, of the son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen!. father bless me for I have sinned..." she began almost as soon as she knelt at the other side of the dock. There she was, this penitent whose fragrance has taken the righteous servant of God to the forbidden memories of passion. How can the presence of a stranger do this much to a shepherd of the Lord's flock? Doubts of his credibility as a confessor grew within him. He had the authority to pardon and forgive sins but how could he do that at the moment when he needs to be pardoned too. Mortal sins! Nearly

THE TASTE OF SIN

THE TASTE OF SIN

He smiles and then proceeds to l**k his arm with mine “Hey, Mr. Stefunny, get off! Let go of me! don't be insolent.” “If you really had paid attention, you would have realized that it is time for us to move forward and take our place on the improvised altar. My name is Stefano, not Stefunny” he says with a hint of irritation. “That's what I said, Mr. Stefunny”. He lets out a hiss, and I suppress the urge to laugh. ***

The Sinful Nights

The Sinful Nights

I'm his for as long as he wants it so. We enter a large foyer, done in floor to ceiling marble. Two more guard stand at attention on either side of the door, and I bite my lower lip in fear and confusion. Nothing about this man feels safe, and yet the men selected for our church's pen pal program had been screened! Pastor John met with every single candidate and helped pair them with us. He should be safe! A first offender with no violent background and nothing to indicate he was anything but some guy who got caught trying not to pay his taxes. And yet I know that I'm in more trouble than I've ever been, that I've stepped into the devil's den without so much as a protest. In trying to be bra

I didn’t; have… I can’t do this. My hands reached my forehead and I shut my eyes as the breathing started to get heavier. Everything started to come into my mind. My faith, religious norms, a promise to guard my virtue, a belief of mine over the years. I protected myself from the devils just to be with one sacred man chosen for me by God but what did I do? I gave my most precious thing to the evilest satan. The father of sins.

I enjoyed the story. A bit different than the typical mafia playboy role. Lol I don’t think I can look at strawberries and blueberries the same .... Few open topics left open (Andrea, Lucian’s sisters, the girl with nikola)? Overall I liked the book. Thank you
Allie
Chapter 36 and the first 5 pages of Chapter 37 are repeated from Chapter 35. Also, there are some grammatical errors. However, the storyline was captivating and definitely worth reading. Didn’t like what Luciano did to get Jennifer, but he redeemed himself. Loved the ending.

THE ALTAR WE BURNED

THE ALTAR WE BURNED

The silence after sin was always the loudest. The sanctuary, once a place of refuge, now felt like a co-conspirator to their fall. Candlelight flickered in the distance, casting halos of soft gold on cracked marble and stained glass, bathing the confessional booth—and them—in sacred light that mocked what they'd just done.

The sinners : Carnage

The sinners : Carnage

But it could never be proved. It would be easy for someone to lay this card down in the blood and most would then believe that they were involved. It was an easy way out. But The Sinners had also sued the cops and the FBI for harassment before. Always being dragged in for questioning on any crime with no real evidence they were involved. They claimed they were being profiled , and they laughed in court when they said they're just motor bike enthusiasts and nothing more. They apparentky all wore a secret smirk while professing their innocence. Everyone knows its bullshit. Everyone knows what they really are even the judges that had no choice but to rule in their favor. No evidence no crime an

I stumbled upon 'Sinners' during a random deep dive into indie thrillers, and wow, it left me with this lingering sense of unease. The film follows a group of friends who reunite at a remote cabin, only to have their past sins literally haunt them—think eerie visions, cryptic symbols, and this slow unraveling of trust. The director plays with guilt and redemption in such a visceral way; there’s a scene where one character’s reflection stops mimicking them, and it still gives me chills. It’s less about jump scares and more about psychological dread, like 'The Witch' meets 'Requiem for a Dream' but with its own twisted flavor.

The cinematography is stark, all muted tones and shaky handheld shots that make you feel like you’re intruding on something private. What stuck with me was the ending—ambiguous but painfully fitting. No spoilers, but it’s the kind of movie that lingers over dinner conversations, where everyone debates what ‘really’ happened. If you’re into films that prioritize mood over cheap thrills, this one’s a hidden gem.
