Novel & Cerita Home Team Connor

“Too late. You’re smiling at your phone like you’re in a N*****x rom-com.” “I’m blocking you.” “Mhm. Sure. You adding him back or what?” I tap accept before I can overthink it. “There. Happy?” “Very.” She stretches and hops off the bed. “Alright, I’m brushing my teeth before I pass out. Try not to fall in love before midnight.” “No promises,” I mutter. “MAXIME.” She leaves laughing while I sit there staring at my phone like an idiot. A second later, Connor posts a story—shirtless locker room selfie, damp hair, cocky grin. Of course he does.

"My name is Connor, I'm part of the football team, and I'm student council president." Honestly, he didn't have to introduce himself, and everyone would still already know who he is. Deemed as the nicest guy in Eastwood High School, he still hung with the popular kids and played the Fullback position in our football team. "I'm Maya Conners," I mumbled under my breath. "How about that interesting fact about yourself?" "There really isn't anything interesting about me." I sent a small smile at Connor, hoping he'd spare me the embarrassment and move along.

After grilling the hamburgers, Connor sits beside me and says in confidence. “Don’t s… say it to the gu… guys, but I’m go… going to do a trea… treatment to stu… stu… stutter.” Connie stares at me looking for some support and I don’t know what to say. Connie, among the Vaugh brothers, is the most handsome, his brown livid eyes, dark hair, tanned, with a strong and masculine Adonis body, that the symbol of Greek beauty would die of envy. I don’t think the fact that he stutter makes him a bad man. In the end I actually think his charming in his half shy clumsy way.

I worry when I'll ever get to be near him again. "I'm always with you even when you don't think I am," he said. I smiled, and he disappeared from my sight. When I went into the school building, our school swimming team's opponents had already left. Dims-Wood High won, thanks as usual to the captain of the swimming team, Bryson. When he's in the water, he is like a fish. The hallway was filled with students happily lifting Bryson around in the air. As they cheered happily, my eyes went over to Connor's locker to see him staring back at me.

AARON Connor didn’t raise his voice when the confirmation came. He didn’t need to. The room had already gone still—the kind of stillness that only happens when everyone present knows they’re standing on the edge of something irreversible. “It wasn’t Durrane,” Connor said, eyes fixed on the screen in front of him. “It was the other one. His partner.” Julio. The name settled like grit between my teeth. Connor continued, methodical, precise. “He made contact ten minutes ago. Burn phone. Short call. Less than forty seconds.”

Connor soon came into sight with a serious expression. "He's two miles away," he stated as he pulled out a key from his pocket. "Who?" "Loren. Alpha fucking Loren," Connor said with spit as he unlocked the cell. Dad jumped to his feet, his face immediately turning to match Connor's, "What? How does he know?" "Nobody knows," Connor answered before unlocking the cell door. "He has 5000 men. They're readying the archers, cavalry and infantry as we speak but we aren't ready for him yet and we don't have enough time to get the defences up properly."

The game had finally ended, our team winning by two goals, one actual fist fight, and one broken Connor. I was able to convince Connor to let me drive him to the hospital, so I got a few of the soccer boys to carry him to my car. I let Ellie know I'd call her later then headed out. Connor and I drove in silence, except for him gasping in pain whenever we'd hit a hole in the road. Stupid town for causing more pain to this boy.

He shuddered and instinctively took a small step backward, trying to blend into the background as much as he could. Connor furrowed his brows at this. He could not help but feel that Liam's name sounded familiar, and was trying to put his finger on it, but no matter how hard he tried, he could not seem to recall where he heard this name before. Finally, he gave up and hollered, "I don't care who you are, you twat, but no one messes with Connor Saunders in his territory and gets away with it!" With that, he gestured to his men and ordered, "Seize him!"

Kenny's pov When the hunk of a man asked me for my name I hesitated only for a few seconds, my wolf has been screaming in my head about all four of them being my mates but I ignored her. I couldn't have a mate as I was destined to die after I kill the son of a bitch alpha. She tried to tell me something but I blocked her out, not wanting to get my hopes up of a happier life. That was why I decided to give them my name, I had nothing left to lose. "It's Kenny, Kenny McKenzie alpha of the extinct White Moon pack" I answered him with my head held high and shoulders straight. The shock and disbelief on their faces almost made me laugh, but the sadness of my words stopped that in its track, if I

Slowly, I stand up and come out of my hiding. When Connor spots me, he points his gun at me. “ I can see you didn't die huh even after my careful planning. That bastard is as useless as his dick!” He growls. “ Even the heavens took pity on me. How could I die when I didn't offend anyone?” I counter, my face composed. Connor snorts. “ Who do you think you are fooling? Aren't you the one who led your team to exterminate my family after getting paid?” He accuses, eyes blaring with fury.
