He shuddered and instinctively took a small step backward, trying to blend into the background as much as he could. Connor furrowed his brows at this. He could not help but feel that Liam's name sounded familiar, and was trying to put his finger on it, but no matter how hard he tried, he could not seem to recall where he heard this name before. Finally, he gave up and hollered, "I don't care who you are, you twat, but no one messes with Connor Saunders in his territory and gets away with it!" With that, he gestured to his men and ordered, "Seize him!"

Kenny's pov When the hunk of a man asked me for my name I hesitated only for a few seconds, my wolf has been screaming in my head about all four of them being my mates but I ignored her. I couldn't have a mate as I was destined to die after I kill the son of a bitch alpha. She tried to tell me something but I blocked her out, not wanting to get my hopes up of a happier life. Ryan asked and Connor scoffed. "I am off to my room." He said and Ryan snorted. "Sleep tight." He said through the mind link. Connor pulled off his shirt and slumped down on the bed. He covered his eyes with the back of his hands as he tried to pin point what was baffling him exactly. What was it? What was it? What was... That back? He does not know why he felt weird while informing the pack of their new Luna. It was as if he was doing to the wrong thing.

Connor says, hugging Quirin and then his twin. “You’ve been hanging out with Henry again,” Quirin says. “He’s the closest one to me. Plus, you’ve been busy taking over the world or some shit,” Connor says, easily joking with Quirin. “Yeah and that ‘some shit’ is about to be done. I want to get home my pups.” “Good, your hair is looking a bit dull without any glitter in it,” Connor says, grinning widely as Quirin growls at him. Kennedy just smiles and leans into her mate. He kisses her quickly before stepping forward.

Connor interrupted the butler sharply, “Carl, get me a flight ticket to Richworth. I need to swing down there for a bit.” “Understood.” Carl did as he was told and got the flight ticket as requested. Shortly after that, the phone in the living room rang again. He promptly answered and had a brief exchange with the caller before bringing the phone to Connor. “Sir, it’s Mr. Adam.” Connor considered for a moment and decided to dismiss the call. He instructed Carl curtly, “Just tell him I’m not feeling well and can’t come to the phone right now. Also, tell him that he’s going to have to hold off on the joint project for now.”

Then, he said to me, "Claire, this is Mr. Connor Hamilton, the exclusive sponsor of the medical relief team." Out of courtesy, I held my hand out for a handshake, and he returned it with a cold, detached expression. His hand was just as cold as his personality. Dr. Lane murmured to me, "He's got a difficult temper, so you'd better not get on his bad side. It'll be hard for the medical relief team to complete our mission if he gets upset." I hummed in acknowledgment before taking my seat beside Connor. Ever so gingerly, I tried to buckle my seatbelt while avoiding the wound in my abdomen.

I replied and he nodded. “So Kaida, I was thinking if you can give me your number..” Connor started, a smile on his face. “I will give you my number, but just so you’re informed. I don’t date hockey players.” I fished out a pen and a piece of paper, wrote my number on it and handed it over to him. “Why?” He asked. “Nothing serious.” I shrugged. “If you say so. And moreover, there’s an after party tonight at the best club in Rochester. All the players of both teams would be attending including invitees.”

Connor gives me a bewildered look and gazes back out the window in disbelief. “Who is Declan, Connor? Eddie Morano is a crazy asshole that everyone is scared of. How is it that this man comes along with a million-dollar car and kicks his ass without breaking a sweat? This is crazy.” I reply, holding my hands up in surrender. Connor shrugs his shoulders with a puzzled frown. “I asked him, but he wouldn’t answer. I mean, he had a military jacket in his file, which means he’s trained to kill people. Right?”

Larsson said, eyes flicking to the clipboard, “Dane Riker.” The groan got louder. Dane lifted a hand like a king accepting tribute. Ryder rolled his eyes and caught Connor doing the same a few stalls down. “Backup,” Larsson continued. “Max Sullivan.” That one landed easier. Expected. A few nods. Max gave a tight smile and looked down at his skates. “Defense.” Larsson took a breath. “Connor Reynolds.” Connor exhaled and bumped his shoulder against the locker behind him, satisfied. “Drew McKinley.”

Nodding, the driver zoomed out of the parking lot and headed to the bar. After thirty minutes at the bar Connor felt a little bit better, got back in his car and signaled to his driver, the driver understood and drove straight to his house. They got home and Connor was welcomed by an excited Alannah, she clearly was excited about starting her new job and Connor had informed the board about Alannah joining the team already. **CONNOR**
