Luca’s Shadow Elena stood frozen in front of the mirror long after Sandro had gone. Her reflection stared back at her, flushed cheeks, swollen lips, the faint red marks of his fingers still visible on her throat. His release still slick between her thighs. She looked claimed. Wrecked. Alive in a way she hadn’t felt in months. But the tenderness of their mirror sex now felt like another beautiful lie layered over a mountain of half-truths.

“Then you’ll kneel.” The runes blazed red. The mirror shuddered and rose from its basin, a vertical wall of liquid light forming between them. It rippled violently, the surface twisting with faces—her mother’s, Kaelen’s, Maelis’s, and one she didn’t recognize. A man with eyes like hers, fierce and ancient. Eryndor stepped forward, pressing his palm to the mirror. His reflection became monstrous—half wolf, half man. “Do you see it?” he said softly. “The truth your blood hides?”

Behind her, wolves bowed, chained and kneeling. The reflection smiled cruelly. “Queen,” it whispered through the glass. “Monster.” Luna’s stomach clenched. She turned away , only to find the same image in every direction. Herself, endless, powerful, corrupted. Her hand trembled as she reached for one of the panes, her fingers brushing against the cold surface. The mirror felt alive. It pulsed. “Why are you showing me this?” she demanded. “Because I want to see what you’ll do when you realize what you could become.”

I cried out in horror as the scene became distorted with chaos. The world where my Nyra stood became attacked with explosions from different angles. “Rylan, help!” Nyra screamed, reaching for me. I hit the mirror hard. I kicked and yanked with my claws. “Nyra! Stay with me!” I roared trying to break through… But nothing I did worked. The mirror refused to shatter and I was forced to watch the scene like an emotional movie spectator. Someone else covered in a hood drove through the chaos and he saved Nyra.

“It is real. This is you. Every choice you could make. Every version of your soul.” I shook my head hard. “No. You’re lying. I’m not that monster I see in the glass. I know I’m not perfect, but I’m not this weak. I’m loving. Everything I do, I do wholeheartedly.” One mirror rippled, showing me holding Lyran’s throat, choking him while he begged. Another showed me kneeling at Berra’s feet. I covered my eyes, but the whispers from the mirrors crawled into my ears. They were too loud, too dark, too much to bear.

“He said the mirror showed his brother. That he could pull him out. I tried to stop him…” Garrin’s scream cuts her off. The mirror’s surface tightens around him, pulling harder. Only his arm and shoulder remain outside now. The glass glows red where it touches him. His eyes meet mine for an instant, desperate and unseeing. “Please,” he whispers. “I have to save him. He is all I have left.” Then the mirror swallows him whole. The glass smooths over with a sound like a book closing. Liora’s grip slips, and her knees hit the floor. Her hands are bleeding from trying to hold him.

"The demon is trapped in this mirror, for now. If he manages to find it's way out, you are his next victim. We must find a better way to rid him of this earth." She turned her head toward Luka and her gaze finally rested on me. "Does that mean that it's possible that...that Luka saw it too?" I asked weakly, now fearing that he is in worse trouble than I originally thought. Lylah turned towards Melody, then turned back to look at me. "There is only one way to find out," she announced, placing the mirror down, resting it against the wall. "Melody, I need your help," she said, holding an arm.

“What’s your game, woman? If this is another trick…” “Enough!” Lena’s voice cut through the tension, and she moved toward the mirror, her resolve hardening. “If this is the only way to uncover the truth, then I’ll face it.” As her reflection came into focus, the mirror shimmered and revealed flashes of memories, not her own, but those of Kaden and Lucan. --- In front of an invisible figure, Lena saw a bruised and bloody younger Kaden kneeling in front of the mirror. "I'll do whatever it takes." With desperation in his voice, he declared,“Just keep her safe. She doesn't have to know about this.”

It had not been there yesterday. "This mirror was never here before," Nyra breathed, stepping forward on unsteady feet. Selene’s hand closed around her arm. "It reflects… something else." Ryker chuckled, but it was hollow. "Looks like trouble." Kaelan’s amber eyes narrowed. "It pulses with void magic." At her command, guards formed a cautious circle, yet none dared touch the frame. The mirror’s surface shimmered, and Nyra’s reflection blurred. For a heartbeat, she saw herself, only her eyes burned silver, her lips curled in cruelty.

His head was killing him, and his body was responding to Veronica in ways that were too inappropriate for him to entertain. "Nobody does. Well, except maybe Alice, but she always had questionable friends. Just don't make it obvious that she's affecting you." Haneul murmured. "That's what I've been doing this whole time," LJ muttered through his teeth. He was feeling turned on and disgusted at the same time. It was the weirdest sensation. "Just get this over with." Haneul put his hands in his pockets, regarding the Mirror carefully. He could not help but be awed at how the Mirrors, who looked so much alike, could be so different from each other.
