I opened the door and I looked up at the sky and I could see a faint moon peeking through the clouds, and I looked to the side and Connor was running back from the training grounds with the warriors and they were all trying to get cover. Connor was ordering everyone on what to do to keep safe and I ran back into the house, terrified about what was happening. I ran to the corner of the living room and I crouched down in the corner and I stayed there, frozen. I didn’t know what to do. I shut my eyes, praying for it to be over. I looked up and saw that he had already drifted into a deep sleep. I looked up at the sky. It was calm now, the meteor showers gone. I hadn’t even been able to fully take in the view, my attention fading in and out at times, but what happened with Crow was something I couldn’t bring myself to regret. We turn at the same time to see Luka stepping out from the forest, his gold-tinted curls blowing about his face, his brown eyes wide with wonder at the sight of the river.
