Neo’s POV Sitting at my desk, my mind is consumed by the image of Skyler, completely engulfed in those Scarabs she fondly referred to. It's astonishing how she fearlessly caressed them, treating them as harmless creatures, before they obediently scurried away from her and disappeared into the earth. It's as if they hold no threat, no potential for danger or death. This scene continues to play in my mind, leaving me both fascinated and perplexed by Skyler's unwavering trust in these seemingly treacherous insects.

I was right beside the body that reeked of blood and hot tar, but I wanted to see… just to be sure it was who I was thinking… I dragged myself to it and stretched out my hand to slowly grasp the collar of a coat, sliding it away from the face.
