Mystery Of Fate: Luna Della's Second Chance Novels & Stories

On the second ring she slowly picked, the mysterious person boomed, “Your time is up.” Clara choked at whatever she had planned to say, as coughs wracked her through her body waves of pain flowering through her, there was no sign of pity from the other side as they continued, “Get to base. I have new orders for you.” “Please there's still a little more time left. I swear I'll get you your money…” she stuttered, shaking at every word. The mysterious man chuckled, “Don't make me laugh. You've had more than a month to be Luna and you failed. You are mine now. I have a lot for you to do. Don't fail me.”

My name is Ella Felicity Lunarflare. At the age of seventeen, my world fell apart. It all started when I attended Beta's birthday party in my pack. I arrived awkwardly alone, as my mom and stepsister had left early. I stood uncomfortably in the crowd that I hated so much. My gaze wandered around, and stopped across the room. Suddenly I was overcome with anger. I held my breath when I saw my lover, Black, kissing passionately with my best friend.

Three months later… It was a small gathering where I would be announced as a Luna of none, but Theo Tanner, the only man who truly understood me. “You look gorgeous, darling,” Theo whispered. He lightly kissed my cheeks, and a blush crept up my cheeks. The hall was filled with the entire Nightshade pack, and Leo addressed the crowd, holding my hand. Good evening everyone. As you all are aware, why have we gathered here, yet I wish to make it official that–I accept, the love of my life, Selene, as the Luna of the Nightshade Pack.

Just different than planned. I was cleaning up. Picking up some of the tissues Kira had used. Straightening the chairs. When a messenger arrived. Young wolf. Breathless from running. "Luna Lyra," he gasped. "The Goddess of the Moon demands you at the Moon Tree. She says it is time for the ultimate blessing. The one present she owes the First Daughter’s bloodline.” My stomach dropped. "What blessing?" “She wouldn’t tell,” the messenger said. Still catching his breath. Just that you must come alone. And that it will decide the future of every Luna for generations to come.”

I instinctively slowed my pace, listening to the words drifting over. “Did you see the way Alpha ran to her this morning?” one of them murmured, glancing around as though afraid to be overheard. “I did! It was… I don’t know, I’ve never seen him look at Luna Krista like that. Do you think he’ll… I mean, maybe he’ll bring her back as Luna?” the other responded, her tone hushed but filled with awe. “After all, everyone thought Laurel was dead, but now that she’s back… What if he reinstates Laurel as Luna? She was his first, and everyone thought she was gone for good, but now…”

“I just got you back. I just saw you claim your place as Luna. And now the prophecy—” Aria froze. “What prophecy?” Kaelen’s eyes flickered with frustration—frustration at the world, at destiny, at himself for not telling her sooner. “The Elders finally revealed it after Selene’s transformation. I didn’t want you to hear it while you were unconscious.” “Tell me,” she demanded. He sighed, shoulders lowering in defeat. “They said the Blessed Luna carries a dual fate. Either she dies… or she ascends.” Aria’s breath caught. “Ascends?”

For a heartbeat, the world narrowed to just them—the vows, the touch of his hand, the strength of his presence. The past could rage and burn behind her. The future could twist uncertain before her. But in that moment, she was not broken. She was not lost. She was Luna again. Lefu held her hand high before the gathered wolves, his voice carrying clear and commanding. “Tonight,” he said, “you have witnessed the bond between myself and Evandra. But there is more that you must know. The Moon Goddess, in her mercy, blessed this Luna not with one second chance mate, but four. In the face of battle, she was given a choice—a choice that spared us all.”

I wasn’t sure either. “This is it,” she mumbled, mostly to herself. Her fingers twisted together in her lap before she let out a shaky breath and reached for the door handle. “Okay. After you.” I said softly. Just then Elijah walked to her side of the door and showed her out. I stepped out right after her, scanning the quiet street, my instincts on high alert despite the normalcy of the neighborhood. Aria is now a Luna, marked by me, she is bound to attract trouble as long as she stays in the human world.

Alessio’s Pov Everyone was murmuring like a bunch of confused pups. “Did he just get a Luna?” “I thought he didn’t believe in mates?” “Is that her? The half wolf?” Exactly the chaos I expected. Lana, the Moon Goddess herself, raised a hand. “Silence.” Just like that, the air snapped quiet. She turned to the crowd with that calm, all-knowing smile of hers. “This wasn’t planned. Even I didn’t know until a few days ago. But fate has a way of forcing itself through cracks, doesn’t it?”

"After leaving NorthWulf, I'm just an average woman." Marma shook her head. He moved from his position and sat in front of Rula. "Luna was born based on a prophecy that has been believed for countless years," Marma explained. Her words were similar to those of Rondolf and Xabar. Marma added. "Even though NorthWulf has a new Luna, the real Luna is you." "Especially since you've given birth to an Alpha." Marma completed the sentence. "Melisam is an Alpha."
