TERROR. Intense dread, fright, or fear. A specific instance of being intensely terrified. Memories of the accident were the perfect definition of terror for Dylan Blake. It always felt like he was reliving the moment his car crashed against another and his mind never stopped playing the look of dread in Hannah’s expression as she stared at him. Most importantly, he was terrified of making eye contact with those emerald eyes and knowing there was nothing he could have done to save her. If only his heart hadn’t acted up that night, she might still be next to him.

His wrinkled face looked like it was crawling with countless wriggling worms. I shuddered and stepped back, whispering to Silvia, "Good thing I've got you. This place is terrifying." She snorted and suddenly shoved me forward, straight toward George. With an icy laugh, she said, "This pretty boy will make a great offering. You're going to love him." Before I could react, George gestured, and several eerie puppets stepped forward to pin me down and drain my blood. A sharp bell rang out, echoing through the night.

“It's time to wake up, sweetie...” The sun was beginning to rise, but the light didn't bring comfort. It only clarified the nightmare. I looked at the eye again. The pupil didn't dilate or contract. It remained a fixed, black pinprick in a sea of terrifying blue. As my eyes adjusted, I realized the skin around the eye didn't look like skin at all. It looked like wet parchment stretched too tightly over a frame that didn't quite fit. I remembered the "rules" people joked about in horror movies. Don't go outside. Don't answer the door. But what do you do when the monster is already in the hallway, wearing your father’s throat like a stolen garment?

My eyes widened in horror as I saw a figure lying in the center of the circle, blood oozing from their wounds. I gasped, and the figures turned to face me. Their eyes were bloodshot, and their fangs gleamed in the dim light. I realized with a jolt of terror that they were not witches, but vampires. Their claws extended, and they began to speak in a language that made my head spin. The words were like a dark incantation, weaving a spell of fear and confusion around me. I stumbled backward, my heart racing, as the vampires began to close in on me. Their eyes seemed to burn with an otherworldly hunger, and I knew that I was in grave danger.

White silk draped across the beams, faded, worn, and slightly torn. A carved canopy bed stood beneath curtains stained with dark red marks that resembled blood. A blurred bronze mirror rested on the dressing table, its surface streaked with winding stains. Pale "happiness" characters adorned the walls, their presence jarring under the dim, flickering candlelight. "This is… a wedding horror." Claudia drew her shoulders in, her voice tight with fear. "Bruce, the horror elements from your country are truly the most intense in the world. I'm… I'm really a little scared."

Her pulse thunders in her ears, and it takes precious moments for the residual terror to subside in the tiniest sense of it. In the eerie stillness of the night, Marisol clutched at the sheets, her heart racing wildly owing to the scare of the nightmare that had taken a few nights off, only to return stronger than it would seem. The vivid imagery of the beast persists even behind her closed lids, haunting her waking moments as she grapples with the remnants of the surreal horror that had unfolded in her dreams.

Those were just stories, because in the blink of an eye, the gentle officer who just stood limp on the side, saying nothing but following orders, fell to the ground, holding his neck and jerking in pain as blood gushed out of his throat. The other one, the particular ‘I know everything’ one, trembles as the devil in my wardrobe grasps him and slowly steps out of the wardrobe, his eyes bloodshot and… soulless. He wasn’t like a living human being. His shadow swallows me as I look up at him like a god, taking steps backwards with shaky legs, until I reach the wall, having nowhere else to retreat to. My pupils can only dance around the scene, straight out of a horror movie… I’m fine, except for

In movies, horror lurks in the silhouettes, the night is the horror, along it comes not zombie breakouts or waste mutant experiments but vampires and not just vampires but many more. Bungalow structures coddled the land with bright bulbs shining over some dark sides saintliness and radiance, unstructured establishments could be seen also but with construction banners pasted on each walls and at the edge of the town was a bar, a motel to be accurate glowing from the windows light reflections to attract customers.
