I remain silent, not knowing if continuing this conversation is necessary, not wanting myself to relax while in the lion’s den. Still, I feel compelled to either way. “I’m into the classics, actually. The Exorcist and Nightmare On Elm Street.” He sucks in his breath, shaking his head slowly in disapproval, and I raise a brow. What self-proclaimed fan of horror doesn’t have those two in their top 10?

“So far over sixteen men have played the role of Micheal Myers. Crazy, right? Oh, and it was originally titled The Babysitter Murders, but I think Halloween has a better ring to it.” His brow twitched, lifting ever so slightly. “You like horror movies?” “Is it that obvious?” I cooed, “Are you surprised I have hobbies outside of stripping and seducing men?” “I thought we moved on from that,” He grumbled. This time I did laugh, “I’m just teasing you, Caius.” He muttered something under his breath, but it was drowned out by the opening scene. We passed the bottle back and forth as we watched, an odd sort of calm settling over us both. Eventually Caius relaxed a bit, sinking into the seat.

You guys are the best! Another thing... I am thinking of changing the title and the cover of my story so it will look more of horror-romace than pure horror. What do you think? What do you think can boost my views? Your contributions are appreciated.

Slits, the pupils, staring directly at him as Ben froze in place. "Boo~." It chimed again, those eyes crinkling with glee. Horror movies were dumb. They were grotesque for no reason, they never had a real scare. Demons, ghouls, ghosts, monsters, Ben knew none of it existed. It was impractical and it had never made a lick of sense. Right?

Victim’s POV Witches, vampires, succubi, cold cruel women, femme fatales, the tart with a sliver of ice in her heart; those are what comes to my mind when I think of Halloween. And today is Halloween, so my mind is even more than usually occupied.

For a moment, he just stood there with furrowed brows, his orbs fixed on the cover. “Zombies are Real?” he read, tapping his fingers on the book. Taking a deep breath, he averted his gaze to the books seated next to them. Using his free hand, he grabbed one. “Supernatural Being.” With his lips curled, he scanned them from back-to-front cover. Immediately after, his mind drifted without prior warning. Something about the titles probed his guts. He just didn’t know what. Should he believe these zombies and supernatural beings were true? If not, how could he explain what he’d seen the night before?

She's spacing out again. “Huh? W-what is it again?” Yep! Told you! “Oh, sorry. I was just thinking if there's anything I forgot about with the memorization of the articles since we got exams tomorrow. But yes, I'd love to watch something creepy. The horror I guess?” she explained while smiling widely. “Three tickets, please. Can you suggest the uhm, the most terrifying one?” I politely asked as I was paying for our tickets. “Muff's treat, yey!” I grabbed our glasses and smiled at them, waited for the door to be opened.

They emerge from a hole in the ground, a dark and menacing opening that seems to be the very gate to the underworld. The Drider, an equally terrifying entity, accompanies them. Its appearance is a grotesque blend of spider and humanoid, with a body covered in dark hair and long, sharp legs that creak with every movement. Its eyes, a bloody red, reflect pure malice and an insatiable thirst for power. Together, Drider and the Skinning of the mind are the embodiment of horror, a sight that could chill the bravest of souls to the bone.

She chuckled to herself, wondering why the authors bothered with such misleading names. One particular book caught her eye - 'Blood Lust'. Raven couldn't help but roll her eyes at the title, feeling annoyed at the lack of originality. "Might as well give the writers of these books a Nobel prize for nice book titles," she grumbled under her breath as she opened the book. The first picture she came across made her pause. It was a disturbing image of a man with his head buried deep in the neck of a woman who was sitting down, with blood dripping from her neck.

Especially this close to the beginning of it. I open her closet to make sure she’s not hiding in it and find nothing, but clothes and a messy shoe collection tossed carelessly on the floor. I’m a bit of a neat freak so I cringe at the state of things, though Mace’s room back home is always in a similar state of disarray. He and this girl would get along well, as she also has dirty dishes stacked by her bed. I drop to my stomach to look under there. I don’t see two, startled blue eyes staring back at me, but I do see a box. My curiosity gets the better of me and I pull it towards me. It’s a hatbox the girl has obviously doodled flowers and hearts allover, but on closer look, there’s also what
