HOUSE OF WITCHES

HOUSE OF WITCHES

Earnestine asked Hayley leaning at the door with her arms folded. “Never been better.” Hayley answered, as she pulled off her shoes, and top. “Get some rest before you come down for dinner.” “Thank you.” Hayley smiled. Hours later. It was drizzling, the heavy rainfall, rumbling, and the storm had stopped. They could only hear the sounds of the dripping, and splattering on the metal sheets that covered the building. The four sisters were in the living room watching a horror movie, they held themselves tight. They watched the man on the television screen scream, as his throat was slit.

The Beastly Lycan's Unwanted Wife

The Beastly Lycan's Unwanted Wife

The deafening silence only intensifies my fear, leaving me with a sinking feeling that something truly horrific has occurred. I took my step after standing paralyzed for so long, one step at a time, slowly. And as my feet move, the scene before my eyes gets much more horrifying. The furniture is overturned, the walls are splattered with blood, and a chilling breeze sends shivers down my spine. My heart races as I realize that I am not alone in this house, and the unknown presence lurking in the shadows only fuels my terror.

STRANGER ATTRACTION

STRANGER ATTRACTION

When she died, something in him changed, as if the ground beneath his feet had cracked and he was trying to stand on broken earth. Not long after her funeral, the nights turned strange. Around midnight his door would fly open and Horris would burst into the yard barefoot, eyes wild, tears running down his face. His voice carried through the whole of Ashwood. “I don’t want to go! I don’t want to go!” he would scream, fighting against hands trying to hold him back. Men rushed from their homes, women peered through windows, and Kaelith and I stood shaking in our doorways as he struggled and sobbed. Every night it was the same words, the same terror in his voice.

Shadows of the night

Shadows of the night

I end the phone call, and I still feel like I am slipping into a void of emptiness. I just keep wishing over and over to have them back. I get up, I know I have to. I need to see if the police need anything else. I walk out of the bedroom. I leave the door open, closing feels too soon. I descend the stairs. I cannot face the horrors but, I know I have to. The house is different. It feels like the house is screaming in pain. I keep my head held high like I was raised. I do not look at the macabre unless I have to. I walk through the house. Forensics I can see starting to work on cleaning up the mess. I see with dread the decayed remains of my family being zipped up into bags and sent to the

My Alpha's Wild Obsession

My Alpha's Wild Obsession

It tasted like fear and a fresh wave of humiliation. Something was terribly wrong with whatever was attached to this house, to this monstrous family. I didn't even know what exactly it was, what dark secrets they harbored, but it felt as if the very walls were breathing, holding centuries of secrets, and the polished marble floor beneath my feet was hiding untold pain, soaked in silent screams. The air itself felt thick with unspoken horrors. But then, like thunder rumbling from a sky that never warned of a storm, a sound that always made me flinch, Kade's voice rang out from above, cutting through the tense silence.

Played a Horror Game Like a Parenting Sim

Played a Horror Game Like a Parenting Sim

Scott said quietly, nodding at me. And just like that, they vanished before my eyes. They had already suffered enough in life. How could they die all over again because of me? I crouched on the ground, crying so hard I nearly fainted. The familiar mechanical voice rang out once more. "Congratulations, player. You have successfully cleared the horror game instance "Family of Four." Reward: Revival. Preparing to transport the player back to the real world. Countdown begins: 10, 9, 8..."

The Perfect Thief

The Perfect Thief

She grimaced and slightly shook my arm. "You're with me, right? So why should I be afraid?" I had no choice but to come with her. She smiled at me whenever we heard someone was shouting inside that horror house. As we entered a tiny darkroom, I was walking behind Astrid and warned anyone who was trying to scare her. I immediately noticed the cobwebs that covered all the corners of this room, just like how it was done to any other horror house. There were some spiders that we were threading towards their prey. There were some light bulbs that were being turned on and off by someone just to scare anyone who may enter. I kicked some of the zombies who were hiding behind some curtains. Astrid li

She asked as they became confused. "What are you talking about Angela?" Mr Fredrick asked her as she gulped. "Am scared dad... Let's just leave this house,,, some thing is just not right" Angela cried looking behind in fear. "What are you saying Angela?" Her mom queried "I heard a voice in my room... A little girl's voice and then my light went off and there was thunder, wind and lightening" Angela explained as they laughed heartily. She stared at them in annoyance. "How come none of you understand me? Am so sure of what I heard " She said

Panic Room

Panic Room

I forced my arms to move, seeking relief from the discomfort, but was met with resistance and the faint sound of metal rattling. Panic gripped my heart, squeezing it tightly as I slowly peeled my eyes open, raking in the horror before me. A large mirror was placed in front of me. I looked at my reflection; my arms were chained above my head, and my legs were connected to chains secured to the concrete floor. The smell of bleach and soil burned by noise forced me to breathe through my mouth. I turned my head to the side, ignoring how my muscle pinched with the movement, spotting a large table lined with all sorts of tools, from knives to wire cutters and torches.

My Gangster Babysitter

My Gangster Babysitter

Liam asked, squeezing my hand. “Huh?” I had to crane my neck to accommodate our height difference. He tilted his head to the side. I faced the booth where he took me. ‘Horror House’ was written in cryptic scribble on top of the door adorned with thick cobwebs. A dude in a cape stood behind a podium. His hair slicked back, and his face was a cake of white powder glared at us with his burning red eyes. A trail of fake blood dribbled down the side of his mouth. He flashed us a cryptic smile.

Another great book in this series. I highly recommend the entire series, including this book. I wish there were a few more chapters or an epilogue. You should definitely read book 3 before this, if not 1, 2, and 3.

Another great book by this author. I wished it had more chapters because it was so good and I didn’t want to stop reading. Glad I read the other books so I was familiar with the other characters and their roles.
