"They would be so proud of you both. You are everything they hoped you would be." Ember sat on the floor at Mom's feet. "Tell us about them. We want to hear stories. Real ones not just the legend versions everyone tells." Mom hesitated. "That might be too painful." "Or it might help," I said gently from the doorway. "Remembering the good times. Sharing their memory with people who loved them too." "Please Grandma," Ash added. "We need to hear it. Need to know them through your eyes." Mom was quiet for a long moment. Then she nodded slowly. "What do you want to know?"

They all smiled at how she said it to me. “I bet Mommy’s a good doctor,” Dr. Green smiled gently at me again. “Did you know how she helped Daddy when Grandpa fainted?” She nodded. “Grandpa told us that story. My Mommy’s brave and smart.” “And she’s beautiful and strong,” added Lyra Helene. “She’s the best mom in the whoooole woooorld!”

Mom is always sophisticated and most of the time she always looks proper and poker face. "No Mom, I should thank you for telling me the truth," I answered and hugged her. We talk more about their adventures here when they are still young. I learned a lot about the old Old Hallow City because of her stories. A few more minutes and we heard the door open. "Claire, are you done talking? " My dad said while he was walking in our location. Hendrix is also beside him. " Yes we are done, I think they should go home now. They need to rest ." Mom answered dad then she stood up.

While sitting on the swing completely naked with my legs spread wide so my two men could appreciate the view of my lonesome valley, I cheerfully said, "HI MOM, I didn't expect to hear from you so soon. What's happening in Cleveland?" Grandpa and snake sipped their beer and looked at my naked body on display for their pleasure while I listened to my mom go through a rash of stuff about Cleveland and what her and my father had been doing since they have the house to themselves. She ended one sentence with, "I can't wait to have my baby girl back home again."

She told him everything now. I should have deleted it immediately. Blocked the number. Turned my phone off and thrown it across the room. Anything to shut him out. But my thumb hovered over the screen, frozen, my breath coming faster. Another message popped up. Unknown: I know things are tense right now. Just wanted you to know I’m not the enemy here. I’m trying to help. Your mom loves you. She’s just stressed about money and wants what’s best for you.

I didn't want to be an audience to their tear-jerking mother-daughter bond. "I don't—" Before I could finish, Mom’s voice blasted through the phone. "Serena, if Tara hadn’t insisted that a family should stay whole, do you really think I’d want a troublemaker like you back? "You’ve always been so stubborn. If it weren’t for you, your brother…Look come by or not, I don’t care either way.” Then she hung up. I stared at the black screen, my hand tightening around my medical report. I suddenly felt grateful for my illness.

Thanks for the support, guys. I just wanted to apologize because there was a small mistake in my translation of the English version of Hot Sugar Mommy. It was said in Chapter 48: Romana slipped in the bathroom and Roman asked how is her baby. Romana is not pregnant yet to this part. Even in Chapter 50 where Vincent mentioned whether the drug that Lalaine gave him would not harm the baby. I repeat Romana is not pregnant yet. Sorry 😆 My translation was wrong.

She hardly did that these days with everything going on. She giggled as she answered me. "But El, you know how it ends." "But I want to hear it from you, mom" Mom gave a relenting sigh. She knew better than to argue with me. "She brings honor to her family and is rewarded for her bravery. Won't you let me tell you another story, El?" Snuggling deeper into my blanket, I prepared myself for my impending sleep. "I don't know mom. Do other stories have a girl who saves her emperor and bring honor to her family."

Mom wakes from a coma, but the nurse stops me at the ICU entrance because she has asked to see my younger sister. I think Mom has just woken up and doesn't understand what's going on, so I quickly explain that I'm her older daughter and have been taking care of her these past few days. The nurse tells me Mom already knows. Mom was in a car accident a week ago. The moment I got the call at work, I rushed to the hospital before I even had time to request leave. I sign the paperwork, pay the bills, call in every favor I can, and find the best surgeon available. For seven days, I don't go home once. I sleep on a folding cot in the hallway when I'm exhausted, barely manage to eat, and

Helen emptied all the contents of the bottle into her open palm. Then there was total DARKNESS. ************** Sarah's pov ************** "I don't like grandpa, very much," I said to mum but she hushed me up. "But he shouted at you and he didn't even say hello to me when he saw me." I insisted. "Don't say so, honey," Mum said her eyes looked so sad and tired. "He doesn't love me just like my daddy, you are the only one that loves me," I said and hugged my mum.
