Hothouse Flower Novels & Stories

She made coffee, added cream and sugar to the tray and then, out of a sudden impulse that took her by surprise, added a small single-stem silver vase, and lifted an orchid from the display on the hall table as she went by. She always had a fresh bouquet of orchids at her home. She often interviewed the press there, and as proprietress of the Orchid House, it wouldn’t do to have her picture taken next to a bowl of roses! The orchid she chose was one of her favourites, a member of the more flamboyant Cattleyas , Potinara cherub ‘Spring Daffodil’, a lovely, golden orange spray of flowers.

She asked, “What kind of flower is this? It’s so beautiful.” Alex did not hide it from her. “It’s the frosty octagon flower. A very rare species.” “Why haven’t I heard of it before? It even bears seeds already… Hubby, do you not know how to grow flowers? This pot is too small. There’s not enough space for the roots, you’ll need a bigger pot or just plant them in the garden… How about let me plant them for you?” ‘Huh?’ Alex was dumbfounded. ‘This is not a normal flower. Most importantly, these are not normal soil, they are the spiritual soil!’

He exclaimed, turning around and clapping his hand, motioning them to follow him to the maze of big flower baskets neatly arranged into parallel lines, each containing a specific variety of floras. “Here she is. My own personal definition of perfection. She is a thing of beauty, the epitome of repentance. I am pleased to present La Remissione of house Floretta.” He preened, taking them at the corner part of the shop where his working table was had been set up. On the top of it laid a white bouquet with golden fringes ribbons. “As you can see, I decorated it with white tulips to symbolize purity and serenity.” Rossi caresses his thumb over the petals as he goes explaining the meaning of each

CHAPTER 19: A Botanical Invasion And A G-Rated Mystery Sophia I was still vibrating from the shock of the package in the foyer. Calling it a bouquet was like calling the A****n rainforest a window box. It was a literal mountain of flora—a botanical invasion that had claimed half the entryway. Towers of cherry blossoms in pale pink and white, orchids in creamy lavender and deep violet, tulips in every shade from white to blood-red, all arranged in massive crystal vases.

If he survived this, I would curse him to death. My current focus was to find the two ingredients needed to make an antidote for Dimas' body. Black Selinide Mushroom and Turnia Flower Root. As for the Turnia Flower, I've seen it at the Glafelden City flower shop. Turnia flower was an annual plant with a height between 70 to 90 cm. Each stem has only one flower at the end of the stalk. The shape of the flower when the bud was like a drill bit but would be very beautiful when it bloomed. If the season came, the Turnia Flower, which has dozens of petals, would bloom clockwise. Because of its very beautiful shape, Turnia Flowers were hunted by people as gifts or decorations at home.

If she was not around, I will invite another woman into my bed to pleasure me. But with Luna here as my mate, everything has changed. I tried to walk around the garden until I saw a unique flower on one side. It was a deep orange flower and it was beautiful. The gardener was on the opposite side so I took the opportunity to ask him about the flower. "Ahm, excuse me. What is the name of this flower," I asked? "Hello, sir. Oh, that's an Epiphyllum. It's actually a hybrid orchid cactus and it's the first time that it blooms," he explained to me.

Each place setting is meticulously arranged, with fine porcelain plates and glistening silverware, shimmering under the soft glow of the candlelight. As the candle flames flicker, casting a warm and intimate glow, a centerpiece of vibrant red roses takes center stage. The roses are carefully arranged, their petals unfurling gracefully, radiating a passionate allure. They are nestled in a crystal vase, their fragrance filling the air and weaving a tapestry of romance that envelops the room.

Arthur added. For a few seconds, they stood before a grand mansion. The mansion was painted in shades of blue and white, its vastness reminiscent of a royal residence. A fountain graced the entrance, surrounded by a lush garden with a paved walkway in the center. The garden boasted an array of flowers—roses, lilies, sunflowers, and tulips—filling the air with a captivating fragrance. The property seemed highly secured, with CCTV cameras visible everywhere and a face recognition system at the gate. It was not easily accessible.

“ Wow. Rich people's lifestyle! Unimaginable. No wonder you are the Alpha of this pack!" Now, she spoke, scanning the entire interior with a wide open mouth. The house was filled with antiques and, half of the hall room had transparent ceilings. To be exact, different types of foreign or local flower plants filled half of the hall, exhibiting it like a greenhouse. Admiring, she walked towards the hydrangeas. It always gave her love and attention because it stirred up some memories inside her head. Some beautiful moments where she could live a happy life. “ Don't touch them and come with me!"

"I've prepared breakfast, though I suspect you might prefer something lighter today." The knowing tone in the housekeeper's voice made Iris pause in the doorway. Mrs. Hartwell was arranging fresh flowers in a crystal vase—roses that seemed to shimmer with their own inner light, their petals holding colors that shifted between silver and pale gold depending on the angle of view. "Are those from the conservatory?" Iris asked, though she already knew the answer. "From the eternal rose bed," Mrs. Hartwell confirmed, not meeting her eyes. "They bloomed especially bright this morning. The garden is... pleased with recent developments."
