Closing the door, he pulled his phone from his pocket, dialed a number, and held it to his left ear.
He ended the call before getting into the car. "Done," he said, waving his phone as he slid into the driver's seat and buckled up.
Hank started the engine and drove out of the parking lot. My phone buzzed. I fumbled through my bag, found it, and saw an unlisted number calling.
I waited, hoping it was a stray call. But the number popped up again. On the fifth ring, I answered.
"Is this Lianne Soriano's daughter?"
