Just as he finished speaking, my phone rang and it was the restricted number that had always been calling me. "He is calling," I announced. "Pick it up and act natural," Kendra whispered. "Hello," I said. Instead of hearing a voice, I heard laughter. "You are so foolish, son. I can't believe you fall for the prank call." He burst into another round of laughter. He was having fun mocking me. "Where are you?" I simply asked. "I'm at the abandoned building, " he replied sarcastically and then laughed. "It's so fun watching you running around like a fool."

I said grumpily into the phone after picking up. The person on the other end of the call chuckled, I looked at my phone screen to see who it was that called to make jest of me this early on a Saturday morning, the only day in the week that I'm off duty. Oh guess what? UNKNOWN NUMBER was boldly written on the screen as the caller ID. Is this a prank call? Seriously? "Hey are you crazy? did you call to make fun of me?" I'm getting so annoyed right now, what right does this person have to wake me up? I deserve rest and not to be disturbed by a prank caller early on a Saturday morning.

This person was speaking in riddles. I can’t help but hang up the call. It must be one of the youngsters playing pranks on me. I haven’t been able to drop the phone when it started ringing again, it was the same number. I hesitated before picking up the call. “Look, I’m very busy right now and the last thing I need is a prank—“ “End the call on me again and I swear today would be the last time you’d ever smile again.” The person threatened. I held the phone tightly.

I dashed out the door, grabbed the phone, and saw that someone was calling. From an unknown phone number. "Hello? Who's there?" and "Can you hear me?" I asked hesitantly but there was no voice on the other end. "Hello?" Is this some sort of joke? Sometimes someone plays pranks on the phone, and other times it has to do with international scams. "Hello?" I thought I heard a voice from there. It sounded like the voice of a young woman. It's upbeat and joyful. "Hello, what can I do for you?"

He rasped out. “That’s none of your business and besides I’d never tell!” I hung up and replaced the phone on the table. “Who was that?” Stacy perked up. “Some rando wanting to know if Mr and Mrs Peters were home.” I shrugged. “That’s pretty weird a q-“ Stacy was interrupted by the ringing phone and she paled in response. “What exactly is your problem? It isn’t Halloween so quit your prank calling and sick jokes!” I lashed out. “If they were home they’d have come to the phone already so I’ll just break it to ya...” he paused releasing a low sinister chuckle under his breath.

(Lea's P.O.V.) My thoughts vanished like smoke when my phone suddenly rang. I grabbed it from my pocket to check who the caller was. There was no name. Only number. I tapped the green button, and put the phone close to my ears. "Hello?" At first, there was only static noises on the other line. But three seconds later, I heard someone breathing. Is this a prank call? "Hello? If you're bored, then be bored alone. Don't mess up with other people's lives. Just because you're having fun doesn't mean other people are having fun, too. It's not funny."

The wolves came with me, sometimes running ahead, but always circling back to me. We came to a small road after a few minutes where a police cruiser was parked. "We used to get lots of prank calls from high school kids in the area. They would call and hang up without saying anything. I wanted to rule out the 911 call to be one of those." Aaron said as he raised his phone above his head. "Thank goodness I didn't." He looked at me. "I have some doughnuts and burgers in the front seat. You can have them."

Who did he think he was to be pranking me with stupid calls? He better not call me back. Suddenly, my phone started ringing in my hand again and it was that same unknown caller ID. I took the call with a bile rising up my throat. "What do you want?!" I growled.

“It’s really stupid.” He asked, stunned. "What?" “From beginning to end, I hadn’t said it once. That this prank had been taught by Michelle Mary, It's really confusing, and it's like a real idiot. But you still want to prank me? Wait, until I find you, I will definitely send you to prison.” He hung up the phone even though Carlo had just said he would handle it. Still, I called my assistant, asked him to check the people who had appeared next to Michelle.
