Ga-chi. The sound of my neck grinding against the petrification was a rhythmic, bone-deep verdict. The gray, translucent quartz had officially claimed the hinge of my jaw, freezing my expression into a mask of eternal, unforgiving flint. Every breath I dragged through the shards of glass in my throat felt like an inhalation of needles.

Empty dimples marked where they should have been. The third was a crescent moon. Not the Goddess’ soft, luminous disk hovering over her silver sea. A sliver of bone-white hanging in a void. As she watched, a dark stain bled up from its lower edge, spreading like ink dropped in water, swallowing the light. “No,” she whispered again, throat tight. The wolf skull sank, bone flaking away, until only the black threads remained, writhing. They slithered toward the blank crest, winding themselves through the empty star-sockets, filling them.

Her spinal column glowed through her skin as she pressed both palms to the glass. **CRACK** The first fracture appeared. Then another. Then— The window exploded inward. Shards of reinforced polyglass became deadly projectiles. A technician fell clutching his throat, blood spurting between his fingers. Another collapsed with a spike embedded in his ocular implant. Eight stepped through the wreckage. Up close, her modifications were worse than Harris had imagined: - Her jaw unhinged like a serpent's, revealing a secondary set of needle teeth - The silver veins branched across her skin in living circuitry patterns

The moment the flames engulfed the skull emblem, it began to tremble violently as if struck by an overwhelming force of terror. It struggled, desperately trying to break free from Chase's control. However, Chase simply smirked and extended a single finger. The blue flames surged, fully engulfing the emblem. Agonized wails echoed from within the skull emblem. "Still resisting?" Chase narrowed his eyes. The flames roared hotter, forcing the skull emblem's resistance to weaken. Moments later, the trembling ceased entirely, and the emblem began to shrink. It was eventually compressed to the size of a palm and rested docilely in Chase's hand.

Kiara The creature stood motionless in the arched doorway, its elongated shadow stretching across the uneven stone floor. Moonlight filtered through some unseen opening above, illuminating its face in disjointed flashes, a jaw that hung too low, skin stretched taut over protruding cheekbones, and milky eyes that gleamed with unnatural awareness. The most disturbing detail was the ornate necklace around its neck, a large gemstone set in silver, completely out of place on such a monstrous form.

Zane's Point Of View The sand in the hourglass hissed its last grains, a sound that bit into the back of my skull like the tick of a blade being sharpened. The chamber was alive with shadows and echoes, the air still humming from the illusions it had forced on us.

Not one on active duty. There was a head. I recognised it by its shape. There was skin on it, but shrinkwrapped around the skull. Not smoothly. This was via one of those ‘Shrinkwrap your clothes at home and save oodles of closet space’ devices you see advertised on infomercials. A wrinkled, squashed mess. All the features were there, but they’d been sucked in and distorted. The nose flattened, the eyes sunken, the teeth... the teeth were on the outside of the lips.

Skyler grabbed her magnefying glass again and was over the map, the first thing she saw was the pyramids, if looked at from the very top the pyramid was a square shape, but take away the left and right triangle, the top and bottom would be in the shape of an hourglass... Was this what the contact talked about? Or was it just false hope!?

She looked around the room slowly before staring at a shadow in the corner of the ceiling. I watched the darkness, nothing. I started to turn back to her but I noticed a ripple. Snapping my eyes back to the darkness, I caught the glint of eyes. The figure at first seemed to be feline, but its head was skinless. White bone stared at me as its green eyes shined from beneath. Almost like a mask. Its white fur still blended perfectly into the skull, and if I paid attention, I could see its mouth was how it should be. A long tongue slid over its long teeth and its cat-like ears that poked out from the partially exposed skull twitched. As if half its head wasn't skinless, but a full flesh covered

Before turning to walk into the study with Damon. His study was full of dark artifacts; one artifact in particular grabbing my attention. It was a witches skull which laid on his desk decoratively holding some of my favorite flowers, Odessa Calla Lillie’s. A witches skull had large eyes sockets, with long points on their chin and their foreheads. It’s almost as if it’s meant to reassemble the crescent moon. I picked at the petals sprouting from the eye sockets of the skull as Damon spoke not really hearing a word he said until he turned and said “Elena? Are you listening?!”
