My stomach growled in hunger as the smell wafted through my nostrils. Dishing it into a plate, I quickly started eating, not wanting to waste anymore time. I washed the plates in the sink and picked. Now it was time to clean. Kaizen had taken the time to write a list of my daily chores. Today is Wednesday, so I have to mop all the rooms in the entire house. Including his office. Thankfully, he isn't around because I wouldn't be able to concentrate with his piercing eyes staring into my soul. I immediately got to work and started from the guest room.

"You should go." He looked at me confusedly. "Where?" "Anywhere. Just not here." "Why?" "Because the helpers are going to clean up here." He looked around at the shiny clean kitchen. "It's spotless here, though. And I've cleaned up after myself." "That's just on the surface. You don't know how many bacteria and germs must still be present on it. They need to deep clean it." "I don't recall them ever deep cleaning here." "You aren't in the kitchen twenty four by seven."

And of course I promised her I would. A middle-aged housekeeper named Mrs. Hargrove greeted me at the door and showed me around. The mansion was enormous , it had marble floors, expensive art peice on the walls, and so many rooms I knew I would get lost at first. My own quarters were small but clean, located on the third floor near the servants’ area. “You’ll mostly be tending to Mr. Blackwood’s personal needs,” Mrs. Hargrove explained. “Cleaning his study, preparing his evening tea, and keeping his private areas spotless. He values discretion and perfection.”

“I want to keep you company.” “Nah,” she shook her head. “I'm fine. If I need anything, the housekeeper is here to help.” A smile passed between us. The housekeeper appeared at the doorway as though knowing that she was needed. “Good night.” Ruth blew me a kiss. “Night,” I mumbled and joined the housekeeper. We sauntered through the hallway and slowed before a heavy wooden door. “The master’s bedroom. If you need anything, just press the call button by the bedside.”

It will only take two hours, so we didn't need to make any stopovers. “Welcome to my humble abode,” Keisha said this when we entered her house. It’s very simple, actually. I roamed my eyes around, and thankfully, it was clean. Knowing how messy my sister is, I was surprised to see her home being this clean and organized. “Don’t be too surprised; Sonja is good at cleaning.”

When I got up in the morning, the woman who stared back at me in the mirror had two deep, dark circles under her eyes. Megan was not a live-in housekeeper. She usually arrived around nine in the morning. In my previous life, on this very day, I had left early to go to the airport to pick Daniel up. Today, I followed the same path as before. Before heading out, I even gave Megan a call. "We won't be home at all today. You don't need to cook lunch or dinner. Just clean up." On the other end of the line, she sounded gentle and respectful, completely different from the woman who would later cry in front of the courthouse.

“I’ll return the clothes after washing.” “I’ll take them the next time that I drop by yours.” He nodded. By the time I had washed my mug, changed into my own clothes and put his used ones in a cover, he too had finished his coffee and washed up. “Are you sure about breakfast?” “Yes.” I proceeded past him to the entryway and wore my shoes. Then, I turned to him who had followed me till there and bowed. “Thank you for letting me stay. Sorry for causing you trouble.”

Sharon said, Henry just smiled, and he said, “Sharon, those things scattered on the floor Is a welcome decorations, so, you don't need to do that, I have people specially for domestic works,” Henry said, and he led Lisabeth to a well furnished apartments with two housekeepers, and he later led Sharon to the well furnished master's bedroom, Sharon was excited, and amazed, and she asked, “Is this your house,?“ “Yeah, this Is our home,” Henry retorted,

“The thought of someone rummaging through my things in the house…” “That’s called cleaning,” Kirill laughed. “A housekeeper will come for a few hours and keep the place in order. And the cook will prepare meals in the morning for the whole day. You’ll be able to discuss the menu and details with him.” “It all feels so wild to me,” I admitted the obvious. “I could do it myself…”
