Awakening His Lycan Queen

Awakening His Lycan Queen

He laughed as he moved into the room with me and shut the door behind him. The library floors were separated by different genres and types of information. Modern and current literary works, educational books, and fictional novels were all housed on the first floor. The second floor housed all of the research based documents and resources; maps, ledgers, newspapers, magazines, and research equipment for referencing multimedia. The third floor held all the pack archives, and all history related books and materials. Each floor was organized in a relatively similar way with the shelves organized in rows that went from floor to ceiling. Every row of shelves has its own sliding ladder so you could

The Blind Alpha

The Blind Alpha

Melinda's and Kieran's sharp, piercing eyes, scanned the endless rows of books. Zora led them around the library, pointing out the different sections and genres. There were books on philosophy, science, art, and history, each one meticulously cataloged and arranged on the shelves. The titles were written in elegant calligraphy, and the bindings were richly adorned with gold leaf and embossed lettering. Kieran and Melinda were overwhelmed by the sheer size of the collection, and they couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at the sheer amount of knowledge that was contained within these walls.

Wolfless Temptation

Wolfless Temptation

He was staring down at a heavy notebook and he turned it towards me when I came forth. “This is the record of how all the books here are arranged. It’s stored Alphabetically by way of the author in shelves labeled according to Genre.” I didn’t look at the book. I stared instead at him. Initial giddiness aside, I was not a guest here. I was a slave. A low-ranking one at that. Why was I here, so far away from the Harem being shown this incredible library? “Write down any book you wish to borrow down in here. Just make sure you return them to where they need to be once you’re done.”

Reckless Love {Dangerous Passion}

“Right. With a few exceptions.” “Well, libraries aren’t allowed any exceptions. The books have to be in perfect order at all times. You can’t do that with just sorting by genre and then alphabetizing.” “Yeah, that’s what the Dewey Decimal system is for, right?” “But there isn’t just Dewey. There’s the Library of Congress classification system. Dewey is a clean, efficient system, ten main classes divided by ten and so on. The Library of Congress is alpha-numeric and based on 26 classes, one for each letter of the alphabet. Compared to Dewey it is crude and confusing, and I only had the library that way because of Maggie. It’s what she was used to.”

The Witness He Owns

The Witness He Owns

I set it face-down on the kitchen counter and tell myself I am not panicking. I find the library. It is a real one, with floor to ceiling shelves on three walls, a rolling ladder on a brass rail, two leather chairs angled toward each other near a window. The books are organized by subject. Law. Economics. History. A full shelf of philosophy. A smaller section at the end — fiction, which surprises me, though I cannot say why. I pull out one of the novels and read the first page standing up. I put it back. I cannot concentrate. My mind is too busy.

The Alpha's Blood-Bound Prisoner

The Alpha's Blood-Bound Prisoner

She was starting to associate it with safety and that bothered her more than the smell itself. The library was two floors of shelves disappearing into shadow. Books packed so tightly some had been stacked sideways on top of vertical rows to make room. Long tables running down the center. Three tall windows at the far end facing the forest, afternoon light coming through them in long pale columns that made the dust in the air look like it was breathing. She stepped inside and the door swung softly shut behind her. She moved along the first shelf and read spines. History she didn't recognize. Geography that didn't match any atlas she had studied. Something labeled Pack Succession Law, Seventh

Carved in the Clouds

Carved in the Clouds

5:15 PM, Library of J university The carpet was thick and comfy so the sound of people walking by wouldn't disturb the focused students on the library. The books were properly organized according to specific subjects. The wide chairs were arranged near the huge windows for those who like to read with a natural light coming from the windows. The chairs and tables were arranged neatly. Each table had a lamp, so that the students could read up to late night till the library was closed. It was dead silent at the library. Faint murmurs could be heard but it wasn't so disturbing.

Her Four Possessive Wolves

Her Four Possessive Wolves

Bright and comfortable. I had entered the library, Ozias trailing behind me. Books lay atop almost every open surface. Stacks of them were lined within the walls. Several others just stood as end tables. Between it all stood Albert, with his balding white hair. Frustrated with the lack of book shelving places, he cursed beneath his breath. Organizing such a mess would prove close to impossible if not given more space.

Great story & characters, & absolutely loved the style of writing - broken/fragmented sentences that drive action & thoughts, so unique! Wish I wasn't left asking about some open-ended plotlines (Desert Sun, king's heirs, Felix, Albert & Mariposa, etc.), but assuming sequel books will address them?

Born Rogue

Born Rogue

I look up at the towering shelves of books that surround me. The shelves have to be organized, I just need to find out how. Removing a book from the shelf closest to me, I read the title, 'Tales from World War II'. I replace the book and pull out another one from further down the shelf. This one is titled 'The History of the Roman Empire'. I must be in the history section. Exiting the row of shelves I was in, I enter a different row of shelves to my right. Seeing titles like 'Minerals and Gemstones' and 'Animals of the Sahara', I knew I was in the science section.

Queen Luna's Revenge - The Victim or The Villain

Queen Luna's Revenge - The Victim or The Villain

She had spent time there reading and learning some of their histories, or she would take books back to her chambers. The library was antique but well-maintained. The keeper used a classification system. So if you were looking for books about the history of Wolfkind, it would all be in one section, and Aakifahlynn was banking on the same thing for what she was looking for. There were rows and rows of books. The library was two stories high and had great lighting. A ladder assists you in reaching those that are higher. She came across a couple of teenagers and an old lady, and scanning a few more rows, Aakifahlynn found it, 'Erotic Literature.'
