THE BILLIONAIRE’S SECOND CHANCE BETRAYAL
“As soon as we hear June Avery is dead, the doctor gives the second injection. Dante Romano won’t make it through the night.”
Cold fear shot through June. They weren’t waiting for any judge—Dante was as good as dead.
She didn’t even think. She crashed through the door, drinks scattering everywhere. The two men inside jumped to their feet. June ignored them, eyes locked on the small, black leather book on the desk. She dove for it.
“Hey! Grab her!”
She snatched the book, grabbed a heavy glass bottle, and hurled it at the light switch. The glass exploded, plunging the room into darkness. June dropped to the floor and crawled under the desk.
