Dante's Pov "Mama i'm fine” I said yet again to my mother, she worries alot and i get it she doesn't like this life of guns and criminal activities but it’s my life now,matter of fact it’s who i am now. Growing up, My dad trained me with guns and rifles when i was just thirteen, he would remind me how i would one day take over the mafia and i will have to command respect amongst my men that being all nice would only get me killed. Before he died he was not the best father but still i respected how he controlled and ruled the mafia.

To clear my head, to regain control before I did something reckless. I couldn't afford to let my emotions cloud my judgment, not in this world. I turned and strode out of the estate, the need to bury myself in the familiar chaos of the mafia world pulling me forward. The meeting was in full swing when I arrived. Cigarette smoke hung heavy in the air, mingling with the scent of stale coffee and cheap cologne. Faces, hardened by years of violence and betrayal, turned towards me as I entered. "Boss Giovanni," Dmitri, my second-in-command, greeted me with a curt nod. "You're late."

It was Sunday morning and Gio was out for the day. He had to leave the house and go to the family business somewhere in town. I didn't even know they have a family business... Back to the point, everyone was out and I had the house all to my own for the day. Gio had protested for an hour before Raffaello him finally convinced that I was completely safe with all the security around. But even though it was safe. Gio made them double the security around here. Again. So, there were ten people in the house and twenty-four around the house. I counted them myself when I walked around the garden.

He growled out inhumanly while pacing the room like a wild animal. Chloe let out a low sob. "I told you before that you should leave this mafia, but you didn't and now look at what it cost us. Our Lucas!" She screeched while grabbing his collar and throwing small punches at his chest which he let her. "Just stop Andrew! I can't take this anymore... Choose!" She breathed heavily while gazing him in the eyes. "It's either us or your mafia?" She asked the question which he never answered. But his silence said it all. And that broke her heart into gazillions of pieces. He broke her that day!

Nikolay said glaring at mum who shied back “ah, yes, I see that you too are familiar with them” It was true, a man in the mafia world could cheat on his wife with no consequence. He wouldn’t marry another woman while being married to his wife of course, but he could have his slaves. Women knew that these girls were there for pleasure, the woman could even get pregnant and have the man’s child with no issue, though the child would not be an heir of the family should his father die. That is unless the WHOLE family line of men died, and these men weren’t bastards, being children of a husband and wife, fiancé, or destined husband and wife. “Read this, and sign it if you want. You’re an adult now, and the Boss of everyone. The decision is yours.” Leo sits on the swivel chair and starts scanning the paper. It is a deal with another mafia. It disinterests him ‘coz there is nothing to be benefited other than owning a piece of land. “Not taking their crappy trap.” He throws the folder on his desk. “I already heard about this in the black market and no one dares to buy this piece of sh*t.” Laura smirks and finishes her glass of wine. “Indeed a Marchetti, no one’s gonna doubt. And of course, Luigino Marchetti’s son.”

Suddenly the food doesn't seem pleasant to me. After an hour they left. Alfonzo is a 23 years old businessman. He has a company smaller than ours. I am sure that his father is also a mob boss. Such a great day. Ruining my childhood wasn't enough now he wants to ruin the rest. I can't take this anymore it's getting harder and harder. I don't want this a bit but of course being the scared Belle I just stay quiet about it. "Bella ruin this and I will kill you." My father says before leaving me. Maybe death isn't that bad. At this point I don't care if anything happens to me.

He stands up straighter, towering over me, his dark eyes swirling with a storm of secrets he refuses to share. “I’m a mafia leader, Harper. There is always someone out there trying to get at me,” he says bluntly, his chest rising and falling heavily. He looks away from me, a flash of genuine pain crossing his face. “And now, they can hurt you to get to me. You’re a weakness.”
