Eclipse of the Pack
The last caught my attention—a striking cover depicting a phoenix rising from a blaze, wings spread wide.
I pulled the heavy book free, its weight reassuring in my hands, and settled onto a dusty window seat. Opening it carefully, I found delicate pages worn thin with age. Vibrant illustrations depicted the phoenix in various stages—sometimes triumphant, rising from flames; other times engulfed and consumed by them.
As I read, patterns emerged clearly. The phoenix symbolized not only rebirth but a cyclical nature of destruction and renewal. It guided the lost toward brighter futures in some tales, while in others, it appeared as an omen of the necessary chaos that preceded change.
