How To Cover Textbook Novels & Stories

I say sternly and look at Jessica. I sit next to Jennifer and open her textbook to where the last two weeks of lessons started. I pull a thick packet from my desk and hand it to her. Her eyes widen and I couldn't help but chuckle. "This packet basically covers two weeks of lessons. I made it up for you over the weekend when I knew you were coming back to school," I say quietly and she looks at me. "Use the textbook to fill in the blanks and if you need help going over it, I'll be staying after school."

I shake my head quickly as I look up at my locker and begin to take out my notebook. What's the use, and what the hell am I even doing? It's not like I will be able to assimilate anything I want to read now, or at least I could use my super speed reading, but will that help? I am not the kind of person to assimilate something under pressure. Goddess, what am I going to do? And it is not helping issues right now that I'm struggling to catch my breath. Do you know what? Fuck it. I close the textbook and throw it into my locker before shutting the door and locking it instantly, then I begin to make my way towards the classroom with my pen already in my hands, fear racking through my bones.

I was already exhausted from the little cleaning I had done but I was not in any way deterred. I opened my pink low-profile box and removed my Avenge Lucas plan Book, along with my pencil. I opened the book and went over my 10-step plan again, and then I circled, STEP NUMBER 1: Get Professor McLain’s Attention. The best way to get the professors attention is to keep your hand up, batting every question that was thrown out and that I must equip myself for. I set my Avenge book aside and dug out my textbooks and jotters. I had a lot of reading to do.

But I was scared that if I closed my eyes, I would hear her scream as she melted into nothing. I pushed myself out of bed and looked around for a change of clothes. Maybe the nightmares would stop if I was no longer in a bloody outfit. Lucky for me, there was a box with some of her stuff she hadn't taken. I rummaged through it until I found a big-ass round-neck T-shirt. Perfect. I was about to put it on when my eyes caught something familiar. A textbook. I picked it up and instantly recognized where I knew it from. The logo on the textbook was for Jaime's school.

People were nudging each other and pointing as I walked past, the viral videos from Friday night clearly doing their work. I arranged all the books in Chloe's locker and moved straight to mine, keeping my face completely blank. I spun the combination lock, pulling the heavy metal door open to hide behind it. I started shoving my textbook stack inside, my hands shaking slightly. A shadow fell over the locker door. "Chloe. Hey."

Nothing major, just something to drive him the teeniest bit crazy. Like how she leaves books laying on the coffee table, opened and face down to mark her place, rather than using the bookmark that is tucked in between the last few pages for safe keeping. He sees the multicolored tassel hanging down and yet she persists in laying the book down to mark her place, messing with the spine of the book. And to make matters worse, all of her books are wrapped up in those colorful book covers that young school girls put on their textbooks to make them feel prettier. He can imagine that she has the holographic notebook and the scented glitter pens to match.
