Just let me be a cannon fodder

Just let me be a cannon fodder

Of course, even if she came from the province, she's still a rich woman, she wouldn't know the struggles of almost starving yourself just to afford anything. "Why waste money when you can still use these?" I said as I put the tissue paper between the text block and the covers. I don't open them up and lay them under the sun like I used to back in middle school. It will only destroy the book further if I leave it under the sun. "Thank you Natalie, you can leave, this will take long." Natalie already helped me with hanging up my bag. "Oh, I don't mind. I'll help with that." Natalie grabbed a bunch of tissue papers and copied what I was doing. She failed in a couple of times but I taught her ho

Curse of the Wolves

Curse of the Wolves

I opened it and found myself entering a smaller version of the library downstairs. There was no swirling staircase going up, up, up, rather walls full of books, some of which were only accessible via the sliding ladder off to the side. With my stomach full and heart heavy, I waltzed over to one of the shelves and scanned them, intending to pick a book at random. One in particular drew my eye. The cover was made of dark leather, embossed with a swirling gold font that was a bit hard to read. Tendrils of flame, interwoven with threads of shadow, danced up the spine and around the back.

Absolutely love this book, couldn't put it down. I've honestly read it more than once haha. Any chance I can buy it in paperback? This is a great book, give it a chance you won't be disappointed. Love the characters, love the book, love it!

I love this story so much that I kept reading, not realizing it was already four in the morning, and I had to wake up to take my kids to school at 7. every story by this author is beautifully written and addictive, but I love the humor and the strong female character in this story the most.

Two Wolves, One Omega

Two Wolves, One Omega

I looked at the cover of the first book for a long time, trying to understand what was written on it. The letters were strange and twisted in ways I had never seen before. The more I stared, the less sense they made and my eyes felt heavy from just looking at them. I tried tilting my head to the side, as if that would somehow help me read them, but it didn’t. With a sigh, I decided to stop wasting time and just open the book. Maybe the inside would make more sense.

Whispers of Sikar

Whispers of Sikar

Without a second thought, she tucked the book beneath her arm, grabbed the candle, and hurried back to the cellar stairs. Lyda could not get out of there fast enough. After carefully shutting the cellar door, she headed back toward the kitchen and set the book and candle down on the island in the center. She pulled up a stool and sat comfortably at the island before examining the book she had just made off with. She took in a breath and blew the dust off the cover, which formed a thick cloud just above it before dissipating away. Looking at the cover, there appeared to be no title or any even so much as a design of any kind. It was just a blank, leather cover that gave nothing away. Lyda fli

Goryo said as he stretch his arm to get it from the corner. “That’s the book I saw the last time, it seemed old.” The general scan the book, narrowing his eyes to get a better look at the cracked cover made out of leather. “Let me see it.” Goryo handed the book to him. He flip the cover to see that the thread used to attach the papers together was almost ripped apart. “Excellent way of making a cover. I guess the one who made this knit it for strong attachment.” The general runs his fingers on the edge of the book as he flips every page creating an air that brushes his face.

Bloodscript: Survival Game of the Reborn

Bloodscript: Survival Game of the Reborn

Dusty and dark, the size of a coffin, edges bound in metal bands etched with tiny words too small to read. It rose until it sat fully above the sea of paper, long and heavy and unmistakably coffin‑shaped. Except where a coffin would have a lid, this had a cover. Like a book. A book so big it could only have been made to bury someone in. The “cover” creaked, splitting along its spine. The top half lifted a few inches, then a few more pages and paper sliding off it in small avalanches until, with a reluctant crack, it fell open.

"Alright," Luna agreed. "I don't want to take risks, and I think neither do you." Emilia sighed. "The publishing industry is tough these days." Luna just smiled. "With me here, you can rest assured." "Then I'll have our company's staff create a book cover for you first, and you can put it up to see how it goes." "Alright." … As Luna had solved a problem that had troubled her for a long time, her mood naturally improved. She was even looking forward to tomorrow.

I WON'T MARRY A BILLIONAIRE

Charles took the bag. He reached inside. --- The album was handmade. Not in the amateur sense. Lyla made things with the specific skill of someone who had been making things carefully for years and who understood that the quality of an object was a statement about the value of what it contained. Bound in a dark fabric cover. The pages heavy and cream. The photographs mounted with the attention of someone who had thought about sequence and spacing and what each image needed around it to be received properly. Charles held it. He looked at the cover for a moment.

I CHOOSE HIM, BUT HE'S MY ENEMY

I CHOOSE HIM, BUT HE'S MY ENEMY

~IVY~ It's another day in the library and Roxie is pretending to read about the anatomy of werewolves while I think of the Ebon Testament. I eye the cover of the book warily. “You know, if you keep using that book cover for all your erotic novels, someone is bound to suspect something.” With her face entirely hidden by the book, Roxie asks, “And how will they notice?” “Won't it be strange that you've been reading one book for straight three weeks?” I ask. “A werewolf anatomy book nonetheless. You should change the covers.”
