How To Deal With Writer's Block Novels & Stories

What’s wrong with me? A plate is placed in front of Drew stopping him from taking yet another toast from my plate. “I’m not hungry though.” Drew mumbles and Stella glares at him. “You look hungry.” She says and he pouts before digging into the plate. Part 4: Reunited Eliot scratch his forehead in annoyance. He's stuck. He's been typing, retyping and deleting it beforehand on his laptop. He cant formulate a sentence– or even words like he wanted to. He's mind is completely blank. Writers block. The writers and authors like him number one's enemy. He sigh in defeat. This wont do. His mind is not cooperating with him. His deadline is almost coming. He needs inspiration or anything. The fact is, a good story idea does you little good if you don’t set aside the time to work on it, so find those pockets of time and space in your own life. Use your limited time wisely. Before you sit down to write, think of ideas, remind yourself of where you left off in the story, or make a mental plan for what you want to accomplish during that session. Some people strive to write 2,000 words a day. Others disregard word count and are more comfortable alternating between days spent reading, outlining, or researching. No matter what you choose, it’s a good idea to give yourself daily goals. This will prevent you from spending precious writing time staring at a blank page—though there are

Even though I no longer used it for therapy, I had set up my laptop to use as an office. I still had writer’s block, but I figured I would at least attempt to write. At the very least I could try. A few hours later though, I was still stuck on the same chapter. Since I couldn’t get far, I decided it was late enough that I could start cooking.

Natalia was busy on her phone as usual and I was busy staring at my laptop trying to continue from where I left off but I haven't been able to put anything down since. "You have been staring at your laptop for a while now. Is everything okay?" Natalia asked. I didn't think she noticed me because she hasn't moved her eyes away from her phone. "Everything is not okay," I answered simply. There was no point in trying to hide the fact that I was suffering from a serious case of writer's block. She placed her phone on her lap. "You want to talk about it?" She asked. "Is this still about your drunken mistake?"

I was nervous because I wanted to start improving myself but didn’t know where to start. When she finished her drink, she sighed, rubbed her temples, and said, “You could try to incorporate your family a little more into your life. You could also write them a letter and put everything you feel about their passing inside. It could be liberating to write in ink your thoughts and emotions and then burn the letter. It could also help reduce your panic attacks if you face your demons and admit everything you do to sabotage yourself. The last thing I think you should do is live one day at a time. You seem to overthink everything. You’re calculating moves even before you do them. Try living in the

Since he does not have time for that, then he’ll consider number eight which is changing his focus. “I came here to talk about the meeting,” he chanted his objective for coming. ‘And I think as of the moment, I’m having writer's block. The call got disconnected immediately. The suspense was messing with my head. How do I explain that I let my characters write their own story? My fingers are just tools that support my pen. No matter how hard I try to unravel the next plot in my head, I get blocked out of my own imagination, almost like the characters and my imagination wants me to find out at the same time my readers get to find out what happens next.
