But the strange thing was, it wasn't about the words that were written on the pages as I flicked through them. I didn't read a single word. As I scanned the pages, I could hear the voices of the people who had written the books. They were telling me their stories.

I found out that reading helped me to soothe the voice in my head like Alex was someone that had also enjoyed reading or he had started enjoying it from the first time I read a book.
