I am a webtoon illustrator but had been inspired recently to write because of a contest I saw online. Resh Zeller. That is my real name. I am writing my first novel using my own name to be the lead male protagonist. Truth is, I didn't know how to continue after the thirteenth Chapter. Everything had been in standstill. It’s like suddenly the inspiration was seeped out of me. Not a single idea was flowing through my brains. “Earth calling on Resh Zeller!” It was my wife, Bridda McLain, who suddenly came into the kitchen already dressed in her corporate suit. The omelet on the pan had started to smoke! Uh-oh! I got lost in my thoughts trying to think on how to continue my story.

Elle sat at her table and stared at the laptop, “A romance novel, eh?” She heaved a sigh shaking her head, “What the point it was all cliche, he ate my ears complaining how bad it was.” She pouted sulkily. She opened the laptop regardless and placed her fingers on the keyboard, she closed her eyes and took a deep sigh, “Fine, let’s give it a go,” She nodded determinedly. With the start of the novel, her fingers moved in a flow, the words went in a flow, she spent her day and night in front of the laptop, 3 weeks later, her book was done, she wiped her tears as she stared at her completed manuscript.

She's such a kind and hardworking editor who always understands me. Throughout writing this novel, I learned a lot about writing techniques and honing my writing style. I've learnt to ask myself if this chapter is good or bad, or if this story provides different topics and knowledge to readers because I'm not just writing this for fun; rather, I want readers to feel the thrill and get knowledge from my novel at the same time. I even found myself not sticking to the outline I created for this book, which other writers I met told me that was completely normal.

I had stayed up all night to write the last chapter and we were in the early hours of the next day already. My eyes were heavy and I was tired but still felt giddy about it. Starting this book wasn't part of the plan. That day, my goal was to scroll through P*******t to find a cover for "GOOD SIN" since I wasn't able to afford a designer. But then, I saw a rainbow poem. And it was just... too emotional. I've always been neutral but the idea just came that day. I wasn't a big fan of MM or BL books and I knew it won't hurt to do something new so I started my first draft. The final kick in the ass was Goodnovel's contest. I applied and I wasn't really surprised when it passed the review because I worked for this.
