Sofia’s POV The air in the room felt suffocating, heavy with the scent of Alex’s cologne and his mistress’s expensive perfume. I tried to shift, to sit up properly, but my body protested, each bruise screaming in agony. Alex’s mistress, whose name I refused to say even in my thoughts, giggled as she leaned into him, her nails trailing along his chest. “She’s so weak,” she cooed, her voice dripping with fake pity. “It’s honestly a miracle she’s still alive.”

“Alright, that's enough confrontation for one night “. Sofia pulled me away from where I stood. I didn't take my eyes off Alex, I could still see my fingerprint on his face and how cold his face had turned. The music continued, but this time it was almost too loud like the person in charge of the playlist knew I was being humiliated thereby playing lovely and engaging music so I could shake out of it. “Sofia let go of me”. I tried to pull myself away while she led me further, like she was taking me away from the hall using her body to make way before pulling me through. “You had no reason to hit him yet you did”. After a while, the yacht came to a halt near an island, and Leonardo helped Sofia disembark. As their feet touched the sandy shore, the yacht sailed away, leaving Sofia feeling bewildered. She looked at Leonardo, seeking reassurance, and he nodded, instantly calming her fears. "But what's the name of this island?" Sofia asked, realizing that he hadn't mentioned it yet. Leonardo placed a gentle hand on her shoulders and turned her to face a direction. Sofia's eyes landed on an illuminated board, adorned with LED lights. Her jaw dropped in disbelief as she read the name written in bold capital letters: SOFIA.
