Chapter One -- The Fall Sofia moved quietly around the house, humming to herself, and setting the dining-table. “Perfect.” She mumbled as she lit up a little candle in the middle. The smell of roasted chicken and fresh vegetables filled the air. “I pray this work.” Sofia said, hoping this would help her mate, Damien, out of his distant moods. Several attempts had failed as she tried to him to pass a moment with her, had rendered her sad yet she could not resist the temptation of a quiet intimate dinner to-night. Maybe to-night that would be different. Maybe tonight would end well, revive their mate bond and maybe… the dull and fading mate mark on her neck would be brought back to life.

But his eyes darkened. Sofia grabbed my arm. “Breathe.” I walked out slowly. He met me halfway. “You're supposed to be resting,” he said, voice low and dangerous. “I needed to work.” I looked everywhere but him.” “You needed to obey.” He said calmly. Sofia coughed dramatically behind me. “Hi. I'm Sofia. The best friend.” Damien glanced at her. Gave a small nod. “I know. Thanks for covering her shift last night.”

Juliana's POV "Dante Landini?" Sofia's cup hit the floor, brown liquid splashing across the expensive carpet. "Are you telling me you went to the Landini estate with the Goddamn King of the Underworld?" I nearly lunged across the desk to cover her mouth. "Keep your voice down, Sof." "How can I keep my voice down? That's Dante Landini! The man eats people for breakfast!" Sofia worked in a Landini club; she knew the weight of that name better than anyone.

Sofia hesitated, then added, “And if I wanted to, I wouldn’t warn you first.” Aria searched her face. “What?” she asked, genuinely bewildered now. “Why are you doing this?” “Because I get it.” Aria’s heart stumbled. “You get what, exactly?” Sofia dropped her voice. “What it’s like to want someone you absolutely should not want. To want them so badly your ribs hurt.” The bluntness of it knocked the air out of Aria. Sofia smiled faintly, almost proudly. “Third-year,” she said. “I had a tutor. Brilliant. Broad shoulders. Reads poetry in the kind of voice that makes you forget your name for twenty seconds. I used to invent questions just to go to his office after work hours.”

She has broad and infectious, revealing a natural warmth that is mirrored in her expressive, dark eyes. “I'm sofia,” Sofia introduced herself next, with a slur in her tone. Sofia is a stunning Mexican woman with a captivating, curvy figure. She has rich, olive-toned skin that's smooth and luminous. She had dark, expressive eyes and a cascade of glossy, raven hair that completed her striking look. "I'm Stella," I said softly, offering a small smile to the four women. "It's nice to meet all of you. If you don't mind me asking, how did you all start working here?" I asked, looking at no one in particular.

I sure hope so. “So your power is fuelled by emotion. And yes that would be fair but dear. . .” Sofia says as she takes off one of the scarves she has tied on her head “I know how to control this power you on the other hand can’t even make it last for more than I minute” I look at the guy she called Cole and he is crouched down gasping for air. I didn’t even notice that because I was so focused on Kayla. “That might be the case but I have a wolf and you don’t”Kayla replies.

I hug them all and fight back the tears. “Hey, back off, you vultures. You will ruin her makeup and if any of you do. I will kick your butts.” Sofia points at them and we all chuckle at her. Sofia is rather hormonal, but I know something she doesn’t. She is pregnant. I won’t be telling her I will let her find out on her own. “You look beautiful. A true Goddess.” My mom says as she wipes her tears away. I hug her close to me.

Blaze went nears me, and he started hugging me while rubbing my back. “Stop crying, Sofia, and swear you can overcome this. You will forget Drake when the time has come. I know this is not easy, but I'm here. I'll help you to overcome the struggle you're facing. For your child, Sofia… Just think about that.” He uttered that made me to stop from crying.

Two little heads emerged from behind the wall and reluctantly made their way towards Hugo. “What are your names?” “I’m Sofia and she’s Eleanora.” “And her?” he asked, pointing at the doll. “Coco,” said Sofia. “No. She’s Roxy” “Coco!” “Roxy!” The elder sister returned from the kitchen with a glass of water. She shushed the little girls and sat across from Hugo. She was wearing a modest dress that didn't reveal any skin at all. On top of that, she was wearing a scarf on her head like she did whenever she did her chores. It only made Hugo love her even more. Wherever he went, a lot of women threw themselves at him, trying to become the queen of the jungle. They all relied deeply on their reveal

I asked, to which she huffed. "It's not funny, Roman. Don't scare me like that." She said, tightening the hug. "I don't know you, woman. Why would I want to scare you?" I croaked harshly. My throat was very dry, so I couldn't yell. She instantly withdrew herself from the hug and looked into my eyes. "Tell me this is a joke." "You are not really making any sense here. What is going on? How do you know me?" I asked. "T-This can't be happening, Roman. I-I'm Sofie, your Sofie." She said, smacking her chest harshly as her eyes became misty with tears.
