The sky over the city didn’t just rain; it mourned. It was a relentless, punishing deluge that turned the world into a gray, blurred nightmare. Author's POV As Ember continued her journey through the silent road, the raindrops gradually intensified, drenching her hoodie and jeans. Each droplet seemed to merge with the tears streaming down her face, creating a blurred vision of the world around her. The pain in her limp became more apparent with every step, but she pressed on, determined to reach her destination.

I need to end this once and for all. Before long, raindrops begin to splatter on the windshield, and soon the downpour begins, turning the entire world grey. The rain, like my emotions, is relentless—unforgiving. I turn on my wipers, not giving myself time to dwell on it. Lightening flashes across the sky, causing me to jump on my seat before the round rumble of thunder follows immediately after it
