I teased to lighten the mood and he chuckled softly. "Don't make fun of me." "I'm not. I'm actually quite impressed that I'm seeing this side of you." And I meant it. Despite seeing him always happy and put together, seeing him anxious and quiet reminded me that Higan was as human as I was. It was common knowledge that the most dominant eye color was either brown and black among the wolves but due to the blessings of the goddess and the affinities of each wolf or whenever their abilities were in use. Their eye color changes but yet, Atarah wasn't a wolf but her eye color turns silver. "You mean my eyes don't you?" Her hair too drew unusual attention to herself.
