Holiday Humiliation

Holiday Humiliation

There was no answer but heavy breathing. George tried to say something, yet all he could manage were incoherent sentences. Wendy stood up, but Zack held her down. "It's probably a scam. I've seen this a lot of times. Your father would've at least made himself clear."

Don't Jump

Don't Jump

I closed my eyes, about to jump off a building, when an ill-timed phone ringtone blared. On the other end of the phone came a voice that I couldn't be more familiar with. It was my own voice. "Don't jump, Jack Sterling."

THE BET

KEESU Y.Betabebeta
"Says who? I didn't say I don't want one, I said I don't like Dorcas because I like Fatima" "..." "..." Both Dee and Janet couldn't help but roar in laughter. "Oh my God, Dam you are so cute" "I know right!" "And you are so humble too" "Aunty Dee what does humble mean?" "It means in baby language that you don't praise yourself ha ha ha" Damon plucked the sweet from aunty Dee's fingers and pop it into his mouth. "Hmmm aunty Dee this sweet is very sweet. Thank you" "You are welcome. Take care of yourself okay *pretending to lower her voice* and let me know how it goes with Fatima"

Jack and Jill

Jack and Jill

It was the day that Jack had been dreading. His birthday. He was 18 today. He had to leave the only home he had ever known, Old George Orphanage. Once an orphan had reached the age of 18, they were no longer able to stay. It was time to spread their wings and see what the world had to offer. However, Jack wasn't the only orphan being thrown out in the world today. His best friend, Jill, would be right there beside him. Today was also her birthday. 18 years old today. They'd been at Old George for as long as either could remember. Neither Jack nor Jill knew much of their past. Hell, they didn't know who they were or where they'd actually come from. CLOWNY MISFORTUNES

CLOWNY MISFORTUNES

’’ Toby shouted, his voice trembling with fear, there was no answer apart from the occasional sounds the leaves made that had now become more unsettling. ‘‘I said who the fu—‘’ Toby turned around to meet the gaze of a ten foot monster of a man – he had the face of a child below the age of ten and was really hideous and facially deformed with gaping, black holes on the sides of his face where eyes should have been. Toby gulped in fear and started to urinate in his trousers as he couldn’t take his eyes off of the thing that stood two inches apart from him.

This is an interesting book with intriguing characters and premise. The author does well to draw the audience in and make them part of the story. The narrator feels very genuine, and I began to feel for him. Very well done.
Nightingale ✍️
Mhenn this story is Lit?. It keeps the reader drawn to the main character. At the first chapter I was already glued to how chuka's mistakes caused misfortunes to others. This is definitely a story y'all should read.

His Plumpy Mate

His Plumpy Mate

After a few more trials I understood that I was alone Looking around, a particular spot drew my attention, my feet moved, mindlessly I got closer to my destination, the air smelled yummy and edible. I couldn't quite place my finger on it. I caught a ray of silver at the corner of my eye, quickly I chased after it, finally I got to what resembled a small hut. I walked cautiously, it looked like someone lived here, right outside it a pot was boiling, “Child, help me turn the soup” a voice ordered

The Cuckoo's Egg

The Cuckoo's Egg

A full shiver racked Winnie's frame, and she stared at me fearfully for a moment before she suddenly shrieked at the top of her lungs while holding her head, attracting everyone's attention. "Quick, sedate her!" She ordered frantically. "She's hallucinating because of the fire, so we can't believe what she says! She's gone mad!" No one moved in response, only looking at her with puzzled expressions. Clearly, she seemed like the one who'd gone mad instead of me.

Wait that's a bad thing, they've actually just shown me their identities, they're not planning on letting us go. "Can you please shut that thing up?" Small robber dude shouts from the front, I look down at the baby I didn't know how, I wasn't a mother and that's who she wanted right now. I bounce her but it wasn't working again she didn't want me! Tall robber dude leans over to the front opening the glove box, while smacking the other dude up the head. "She's a baby idiot! The Audacity of Dumping Me

The Audacity of Dumping Me

Harvey roared at me. "For money, you mix with people like this? Is this how low you've sunk? I'm barely gone, and you're already lining up your next man? You think wearing clothes that don't belong to you can wash away the fact that you're just a waitress? "Have you forgotten who you are? Come back with me! Stop humiliating me here!" His voice exploded across the noisy booth. For a split second, even the music seemed to falter.

Marrying a Disabled CEO in My Sister's Place

Marrying a Disabled CEO in My Sister's Place

Alice hid a laugh, laying Millie down and tucking her between the sheets, with Hoppy by her side “Want to do the honors?” “Okay, okay…” he snorted, and Alice had to admit that it was a funny image to see that huge man, still with broad shoulders and a firm appearance despite everything that had happened to him, sitting in his wheelchair with the colorful book in her hands and an upset expression on her face “Once upon a time, there was a mother duck who was very excited about the birth of her five little eggs. One after another, they were born, cute little yellow ducklings that said quack quack...”
