Beneath the Gilded Rule

Beneath the Gilded Rule

The banner still burned above the atrium ceiling. Moore / Calder Bright. Unyielding. A symbol Briarcrest believed it had forged. Nyx looked back at Alaric. “Here’s the real question,” she said. “What question?” Her smile sharpened slightly. “When we break…” Thunder rumbled faintly beyond the academy walls. “what else breaks with us?”

Princess Cromwell and Her Six Brothers

Princess Cromwell and Her Six Brothers

A faint, extremely faint golden glimmer silently seeped out from a crevice at the base of the wall, hidden beneath decaying leaves. The glimmer was as thin as a strand of hair, impossible to notice without careful searching, yet it carried the exact same warmth as the torn cloth in her palm and lightly brushed against Amelia's fingertips. Amelia suddenly opened her eyes, and a startling brilliance burst forth from her reddened gaze.

Light & Darkness: Book 3

Light & Darkness: Book 3

I looked back at the pages of the book, wrapping myself more closely in the gray scarf Oliver had given me for Christmas. However, I was not allowed to return to the land depicted in the story from my book, because I sensed a strangely familiar aura that was getting closer and closer to our property. My first thought was mother, because the structure of the aura was very similar, but a few details did not match. I put the book on the table and lifted the blanket from my lap, setting it aside, before giving Oliver a meaningful look. He must have sensed the aura as well, as was already taking Alex in his arms and then walking towards the gazebo, where Oliver sat him down on the bench next to m

Chasing my Luna

Chasing my Luna

Chapter 114 – The Gray Star’s Deception The gray star glimmered in the nexus’s starfield, its light subtle, almost elusive, like mist slipping through fingers. Jessica led her companions along the path, the obsidian surface now threaded with faint, silvery veins that pulsed with a quiet menace. The golden star’s warmth lingered in her, a steady glow where her spark once burned, but the hollowness remained, a soft ache sharpened by the gray star’s whisper: *“You weave with light, but I weave with secrets. Come find me, Jessica.”* The new weaver’s voice was cunning, intimate, as if they knew her—not just her name, but her fears, her losses.

Curse of the Wolves

Curse of the Wolves

If creepy, half-dead creatures called Librarian’s existed, then why couldn’t this? The desperate need to know was far too much. I flipped to the back of the book, to the last few pages and scanned the text with greedy eyes. Eyes intent on devouring what no living being should ever know. “Malina Yarrow succumbed to the might of the sun, and in its rays—” The golden light curled in my chest, forming a hook that dragged my mind into the book. Darkness hovered along the edges of my vision, blotting out the library in it’s entirety until all I could see was my little sister.

Absolutely love this book, couldn't put it down. I've honestly read it more than once haha. Any chance I can buy it in paperback? This is a great book, give it a chance you won't be disappointed. Love the characters, love the book, love it!

I love this story so much that I kept reading, not realizing it was already four in the morning, and I had to wake up to take my kids to school at 7. every story by this author is beautifully written and addictive, but I love the humor and the strong female character in this story the most.

Dawn Of The Guardian

Dawn Of The Guardian

That's when I saw it The golden glitter wave above my head moving in a direction I instinctively picked up my phone to record the whole thing as proof to show to my friends I was contemplating if I should follow, I didn't want to worry Mr Jonathan about this, so I followed the trail of glitter before it disappeared It led me all the way to the back of his library and I saw a book that looked really old The glitter settled on top the book and disappeared... It was all so magical and beautiful I picked up the book... It had an old cover with brown pages I opened it and the pages were blank and dusty... I think its an old journal "I do need one of these" I said as I added the book to the books

Marked by Fire & Fang

Marked by Fire & Fang

Chapter 114: Morning After Hunger Morning light spilled softly through the estate's tall windows, a golden haze that settled over everything like a quiet promise. The grand staircase, where they'd collapsed the night before, was a mess of discarded clothes, lingering heat, and unspoken truths. Lilly stirred first. Her body ached in ways that made her cheeks burn just thinking about it—her thighs sore from straddling, her hips tender from the punishing grip of his hands, her throat raw from the cries she'd screamed into the vastness of the mansion.

Ashes of Six

Ashes of Six

Dragon and vampire, fire and shadow, hunger reflected in gold and crimson. I wiped the blood from my mouth with the back of my hand, a smirk twisting despite the rage. Let them all see. If they wanted to take her, they’d drown in the blood price first. They went down one by one. Caelum’s snarls carried over from the far side of the arena, Elias’s fire popped in sharp bursts, but Nora. I lost her flame in the smoke. Panic cut through clearer than any blade. I flowed through the battlefield like the smoke I was, shadows curling around me, mercs falling silent where I passed. My hunger roared in my ears, but I shut it out. Not until I found her. Not until I knew she still burned.
