I’ve been forgetting things and I don’t know why. Now I laid in bed feeling exhausted. My hand has been throbbing. The tattoo that was given to me because of the desire to become human throb with pain. This tattoo was a reminder I was being punished for all the sins I had done. I was no saint, and my greediness brought destruction. Now I was paying the price. That’s always been my thought. Me being alive, unable to die, is my price to pay. “Allorah?” Farah said as she opened the bedroom door.

Whilst Isla was not the prettiest of the bunch, due to the fated bond we shared, she did have the ability to make me stronger, if we were to mate and that is why I wanted her back. I bet it would be so easy to convince her to come back and I was counting on that. At this moment, I was heading to the shower to wash off as I just finished combat training. My muscles were sore, but they were bigger now, and I had also gotten a couple tattoos on my arms. One was a sleeve which consisted of a wolf, with blood spewing out of its mouth surrounded by a snake and some roses to signify death. It was a dark tattoo, but I think it helped me express myself a lot, so I liked it.

Three fucking hours, and my girl still wasn’t here. I stared down at the fresh tattoo on my chest, visible where my shirt hung open. Her name “Anita” is woven into the stem of a black rose. The ink was still slightly raised, still tender. Levi’s mocking voice echoed in my head again. “You could never get her to love you.”

“We both like Tupac, which means we’re both the same. You showed your love for Tupac by tattooing a portrait of his face on your–” “What are you talking about!?” Amy interrupted Irena, feeling vexed by her chattering. “As I was saying!” Irena snapped back at Amy while giving her a cutting stare. “You expressed your love for Tupac by putting a tattoo of him on your arm. I expressed my love for him by doing something different,” Irena spoke with elegance while giving Amy an arrogant stare. “2Pac darling, come on out here and introduce yourself to Mrs. Cho!”

Their expressions shifted slightly. “Thanks to what you said earlier,” I continued, “I realized what was missing.” I turned the machine on. The low hum filled the room. “You boys belong to me now. You will be nothing without me out there. I already promised your mother I would take care of you.” I looked at them. “Do you understand?” “Yes,” they both answered. Satisfied, I smiled. “Who wants to go first?” “M-me,” Kai said, lying back on the table. “Where are we getting tattooed?”

“It's pretty, right?” I nodded. “Yeah, it is. But that isn't the case, baby. Why did you get a tattoo??” “Because I wanted it? Can't I have that?” He pouted, blinking. “It's just a tattoo. It doesn't hurt anyone. Besides, I wrote our names.”

It was all me. I tip the glass back and empty its remaining contents, but it's not enough. My thigh stings from the new tattoo I got. It was a "I'll just do it now before I overthink it" kind of decision and somehow, I find it grounding, to carry a part of Sasha around with me, even if it's just his initials. The scabs are still tender and I press down on it. Pain is good, pain takes your mind off some things. But I'm not addicted to it like Sasha probably is. Fuck I have to find him before he does something he'll not be able to come back from. But does he even want to see me right now?

Oh god, how am I supposed to remember how I got this tattoo now? I'm doomed again!
