The last scene of the book described how Duke Zachary Kensington had lovingly kissed his wife's face before hugging her and closing his eyes, leaving all his sadness behind. "What?" Melissa couldn't believe what she had read. This wasn't the ending that she had read before this. The storyline must've changed after she transmigrated into the book. But what did it mean, 'leaving all his sadness behind'? Did Zachary die? Melissa teared up and cried her heart out. She couldn't bear the thought that the Duke died of heartbroken because of her.
