I stood in the doorway and stared at it all, my stomach sinking.
They'd started without me. They'd moved forward with everything, the wedding I'd refused, the marriage I'd said no to, and they were doing it at a speed that made my head spin.
Margot looked up and saw me standing there. Her smile was bright and false.
“Isla, darling, come look at these centerpiece options,” she said, gesturing me over like this was all perfectly normal. “We're thinking white roses with gold accents. Very elegant.”
