"Please, moon goddess." I prayed, my voice muffled by my tears. "Please, bring him back to me." I begged. "Keep him safe, protect him from harm." "I'll do anything, I'll give anything, just please, please bring him back to me." The forest seemed to echo with my cries, the trees swaying gently in the breeze like mourners at a funeral.

Time have seem to have stood still. I closed my eyes, willing for any form of release. “Moon Goddess,” I whispered silently, my tears hot as they streaked down my filth-covered face. “If you’re real, if you can hear me, please help me. If not to survive, then let me die. Anything to end this.” The prayer was bitter, raw, and full of anger. I didn’t care if cursing the goddess brought me more bad fortune. What could possibly be worse than this? She deserved my rage for letting me suffer like this.

"They need their father. They need you to teach them how to be strong. How to be brave. How to sacrifice for the people they love. Please. Please don't leave us." Eleven fifty-nine. One minute. I closed my eyes and prayed harder than I had ever prayed in my life. "Moon Goddess," I whispered. "Please. If you have any mercy at all, please let him wake up. Please don't take him from me. I'll do anything. Anything you ask. Just please let him live." As the seconds ticked by, I felt my heart breaking with each passing second. "Victor," I sobbed. "Please. Please wake up."

Their innocent eyes were clouded with tears, their voices laced with worry as they kept asking the same question: "Where is Daddy?" Tessa's heart ached at their distress, her maternal instincts urging her to shield them from the harsh reality of their father's absence. With a deep breath, she gathered her children close, her arms wrapped protectively around them. "We need to pray for Daddy," she said softly, her voice quivering with emotion. I closed my eyes and prayed. “Lord, I surrender my fears, worries, and doubts to You. Fill my heart with Your guidance, comfort, and peace,” I prayed, fear tightening its grip around me. “You allowed Tristan to survive when he barely knew the world, so I ask for a donor to be found quickly. Let him live to fulfill his purpose. I also pray for Hudson’s vindication, that truth and justice will prevail. Have mercy on us, Lord. Surround us with Your love and protection. Amen.”
