Mistaken Identity
The moment she hit enter, a hidden address flashed onto her screen: “The Underpass, Old Dock Road, Sector 9.”
Her breath caught. She knew that place. It was half-abandoned, buried in the industrial district far from the main city, a place no one would look twice at. A chill swept through her.
Her throat went dry. Her mouth opened and closed, but no sound came out. Whoever this man was, he knew her past. And now, he was pulling her straight into its shadows.
She folded the paper again, tighter this time, and stuffed it back into her pocket like it burned her fingers. Her pulse pounded in her ears.
