“Since yesterday.” I smiled faintly, my thumb brushing her jaw. “You’re not the only one.” Her eyes softened, a nervous laugh escaping her lips. “So… does this mean you’re staying?” I glanced toward the rain still thrashing outside, then back at her. “Yeah,” I murmured. “I’m staying.” She smiled and whispered.“Good.”

“But stubborn. They ask about you.” That landed harder than he expected. “What do you tell them?” She hesitated. 'That you’re busy.” He swallowed. “That’s generous.” “You always were,” she replied. , I tell seriously though my voice came out as ragged because he left me all bothered. I can’t deny the pool of wetness formed in between my legs just because he was close to me and barely put his hands on me. That’s the power he holds on my body and I would do anything to not let him know it. “you do, that’s why you are afraid to stay with me”, he tells making me glare at him. “I am just uncomfortable with you around, it’s not because I love you”, I tell him tilting my head. “Uh hm, then how about I will stay here for two months and see if you still have feelings for me, if not….”, he suggest shrugging his shoulders.

At first, I tried to ignore his body language but when it was seemingly too hard to ignore, I whispered; “You can stay if you want to.” I had really expected that he wouldn’t hear me; I had said it to make myself feel less terrible than I already felt. I hadn’t even really wanted him to hear me and so was shocked when he stopped in his tracks, turned to look at me, and with a small smile said; “Really?” He asked. “You really think I should stay if I want to?” “Of course, you can!” I responded with a cheeky smile even though deep down, I wish I could erase the past two minutes. “…that’s if you want to.” I added, making emphasis on the word ‘If’

“Then tell me what you want, so I can leave.” “I don’t want to have a conversation with you, Retta. I just want to let you know that you’ll be staying here, so get comfortable.”
