If I Stay 2 Novels & Stories

"What?" "Your bag. Whatever you brought. Have you collected it?" She hesitated, thrown by the abrupt shift. "Yes. I brought it in with me." "Good." He started walking toward a sitting room off the main foyer, his strides long and purposeful. "We're staying here for two days." Anaya stopped in her tracks. "Two days?" "Something came up."She waited for an explanation of some sort when he paused, but he just said, "We leave after."

We stare at each other and I'm transfixed, the other sounds fade into the background but the moment is broken when she clears her throat. "I want you to stay." So I stay.

I can’t help the small smile that escapes me. “If you really want me to stay then I'll stay.” I promise, and I can’t help the thought from running through my head that I would stay as long as she will have me."

Yet we've come this close, but we're still apart. He jokingly pressed my palms to his chest and said, "I'm warm, you can come to me." My heart twitched a little; if I didn't already know him, I'd probably started to fall in love with him by now. "Hey, stop that. Anyway, how long are you staying? It seems like I see you every two months or so," I wrenched away from him in my utmost natural and steady reflex. "I don't mind staying here permanently since I need to make sure the port's forwarding function is operating smoothly, and one thing is for sure that it is because you are living here," he said.

he said, her name stretched with warning, affection, and the thousand things he wasn’t saying. "I’m going," she promised, voice steadier now, determination settling into her bones. "Call me after," he instructed, the request gentle but firm, as if checking in could stave off whatever shadow hung at the edge of their conversation. "I will," Laura replied, already halfway out the door, her hand gripping the cool knob, thumb pressed pale against the metal. "And congratulations again," he added, the words laced with pride and the ache of distance, his voice a small tether to home.

he wAnted to move away but i didn,t let him. "no please i don,t want to go back right now they will then not let me meet you and will make me stay away from you . please lets not get back just hold me please " "suddenly i was scooped up in his arms . "what are you doing " "no matter how much i want to be here with you but we can,t , beacuse if we stay a little longer it will be hard for me to control my self , we have to go baby and you have to wait just one more day and then no one can come betwen us it will be you and me "
