Of course I did, I thought of everything goddammit! I knew this day would come, it is inevitable. I just didn’t think it would be so soon, I thought it would be something in the distant future after I might have held my grandchildren and watched as my little girls become good mothers, just like me. I never thought it would so soon, I just can’t let them go so easily!

“They’re really looking forward to it.” At last, I nodded. Yet a quiet voice in my heart whispered: from now on, would there ever be peaceful days again? Probably not.

And if we didn’t end it now… it would consume all of us. One truth at a time.
