For once I was looking forward to something other than EastEnders on the TV tonight. * * * I re-checked there wasn’t a crack in my curtains and hit play on the remote. My darkened living room flooded with light. The movie prelude was a bright sun rising from a black horizon. I skipped forward a few frames. The movie began and I was deafened by a piano tune that accompanied crashing waves.

We drive. I look down at my hand in my lap. It is not shaking. That should comfort me. Instead, for reasons I do not want to look at too closely right now, it doesn’t.

And that I’m watching. My heart sank.

“She just wants to make sure we don't make mistakes when a person's life is on the line.” “Speaking of people's lives,” Maya whispered, her eyes suddenly widening as she stared past Lillian’s shoulder toward the main entrance of the cafeteria. The slice of pizza froze halfway to her mouth. “Oh my god. Lillian. Don't look now, but there is a literal model standing by the tray return station. He looks like he accidentally took a wrong turn on his way to a GQ photoshoot.” Lillian frowned, turning her head slowly to look across the crowded room. Her breath caught sharply in her throat.

"Just wait. Be patient. I'm working hard out there." But it was all lies, and I was done waiting. While he showered, I slipped into Theo's room and gently pulled back the blanket. I looked him straight into his teary eyes and asked, "If I break the mate bond with your dad, who would you choose to stay with?"

Not cruel. Just… watching.

Even so, she still wanted to see a mirror as she mumbled, “This can’t be real. It’s just a small wound. I can’t have scars on my face.” Irene turned around and cried silently. Complicated emotions stirred in me. Irene had treated me like her own son and always cared for me in my previous life. As I watched her, I could not help hating that she gave birth to such a selfish daughter. I walked over to call for a nurse to pacify Hedgar, but she glared at me with hate. “Get lost! I’m fine! Stop pretending to care!” A nurse wanted to convince Hedgar to not look at her face just yet, but I stopped her.

I reached out to grab it from my back pocket, the pop-up message coming into view first. "We are watching you~"

Tristan replies and Raven looks back at the TV, she presses on the remote and it opens the app Her eyes immediately land on the “Recently Watched” and clears her throat as she reads the titles of the things that were on there... The most recent being was an adult romance show... Tristan finishes looking through his emails and lifts his head up, his eyes widened as he saw what was on the TV and instantly turns to Raven
