Lonely Dove

Lonely Dove

She was nearly twenty-four and hadn’t got a mile past Lonesome Dove, which wasn’t fast progress considering that she had only been twelve when her parents got nervous about Yankees and left Mobile. That much slow progress would have discouraged most women, but Lorena didn’t allow her mind to dwell on it. She had her flat days, of course, but that was mostly because Lonesome Dove itself was so flat. She got tired of looking out the window all day and seeing nothing but brown land and gray chaparral. In the middle of the day the sun was so hot the land looked white. She could see the river from her window, and Mexico. Lippy told her she could make a fortune if she

Dumped because he had HER back

Dumped because he had HER back

It wasn't just about a broken heart; it was about a broken belief system, a fundamental shift in her understanding of love, loyalty, and truth. The path to healing felt impossibly long, shrouded in a fog of uncertainty. There were moments, fleeting and precious, when a glimmer of her old self would surface – a wry observation, a spark of humor, a moment of genuine connection with a friend. But these moments were often short-lived, quickly swallowed by the pervasive sense of loss. The loneliness was a constant companion, a shadow that followed her everywhere, a silent testament to the profound disruption that had occurred. She knew, intellectually, that healing was possible, that time would e

The Billionaire's Insignificant Wife

The Billionaire's Insignificant Wife

The room felt hollow. And for some reason, that hollow feeling disturbed something within him. A strangeness he couldn't explain. Because in his heart—in a deep place, behind a fog of incomplete memory—Junior felt that it hadn't been like this before. Before, even though there were only himself and one other person at the dining table, he never felt lonely. There was always sound. Always laughter. Always someone asking about his day, listening to his messy stories, making breakfast feel warm even though the food was simple.

It's abuse, after abuse, no justice, nothing. I just hope that this is NOT one of those stories with endless chapters. it's becoming boring! Beside they know that the husband is powerfull and capable of anything, THEY SHOULD THINK AHEAD!

Brilliant book. Captivating and heartbreaking. As a mother, it really hits the feels, as a woman it angers me so much, and as a human I just want it to end but in the best way. I highly recommend this book and I am looking forward to the conclusion

I Bought Her Freedom, She Stole My Heart

I Bought Her Freedom, She Stole My Heart

On the living room shelf — the long one by the east window that had held nothing but architectural books and a clock since I moved in — there was a gap between two volumes where something new had been placed. Her worn paperback. The one she carried everywhere. The one she read when she was anchoring herself. She had put it in the shared space. Not on her floor. Not in her room. Here. I stood in front of the shelf for a long moment. The apartment was quiet. Forty-two floors below, the city continued without comment. I did not move the book. I turned off the light and went to bed. And I lay in the dark with the particular awareness of a man who has spent eleven years alone in a space that now,

Unholy Cravings-a Sinful Obsession

Unholy Cravings-a Sinful Obsession

Jeni watched me, nervously. "I think somethings...wrong...with..." I said as I tried to stand up, collapsing to the floor. My last sight was Jeni's feet. They were pretty cute. I blacked out. ---------------------------------------------- Family Reunions ---------------------------------------------- I woke up groggy, not myself at all. I was in a comfortable if tiny bed, in a small room. There were no windows and only one door, which was metal and looked sturdy. Like a door at a jail. There was also a desk with an uncomfortable-looking chair, a lamp and two books. One of the books was a blank notebook with a pen. The other was 'The Quiet of Solitude'. I recognized the author's name.

Blood Moon Pack Series

then everything went black. I opened my eyes and whimpered in disappointment. I was back in the place of darkness and loneliness. I felt my tears fill my eyes to the brim. Will I always come back here? I looked around and just see black as far as the eye could see. I collapsed onto the black ground and pulled my knees up to my chest and cried. I rocked back and forth crying. No matter how good my life may seem...I will always revert back to being the lonely female rogue, living in a tiny cottage in the woods. I cried my heart out. I cried out from all of the pain. But suddenly I heard something. A voice. I recognized it. It was the voice that sang to me. I raised my head and listened. It was

The Lonely God

The Lonely God

Interesting Facts about the Lonely God that nobody asked for 1. Not many people know this but The Lonely God is an individual book in the trilogy Of Me and My Mate. The first book in the series is called My Mate is My Enemy, which is the story about Nefret’s grandparents. It was my first ever werewolf book on Wattpad. The second book in the series is called Chasing My Mate which is the story about Erika’s parents. You need not read the previous two books to read The Lonely God but if you are curious and have some penny to spare then you’ll find the books on Dreame. You’d have to pay to read though.

A Lonely Death

A Lonely Death

"She's just a kid, and she's already out there getting hotel rooms with people? And now that she's gone missing, she's making all of you run in circles? "Pat, why do you still bother with a walking disaster like her? Wouldn't it be better if she just died out there somewhere?" The cold fury in her eyes made me shudder. Patrick finally seized the chance to speak. "Grace, Aubree booked Room 318." Mom had been about to snap back, but suddenly, she froze as if something had just come to mind.

Liana’s POV Ihave been alone since my mother died. The loneliness has always spread through my body like rot. Even though I am continuously surrounded by people, it has lurked beneath my skin and threatened to consume me. This morning, when I wake up alone, it feels different. It’s an alone where I can hear my own thoughts; they mingle with the gentle patter of rain against the thin window. For once, I don’t have to perform to anyone, because there are no ladies-in-waiting ushering me out of bed. Instead, I can lie bundled up in the soft quilt in a room filled with intriguing piles of books and sweet-scented herbs.
