Peyton sat down beside Charles on the couch and said, “I am sorry I didn’t inform you about this party before now. Actually, I organized this indoor party to commemorate Margaret’s return to Oklahoma.” “You did?” Charles said and gazed at Peyton’s lips. “Yes; are you surprised?” Peyton said. “Actually, I am not surprised. I think I should go to bed now,” Charles said and stood up from the couch. Peyton held Charles’s hand and said, “I can see anger written on your face. I am sorry if my plans angered you.” “I am not angry; I am only tired and need to rest now,” Charles said as he gazed at Peyton’s face.

Finn asked, indicating the now vacated chair. “Why the hell not,” she said. Peyton was sure the universe was conspiring against her. Three times in one day? That had to be some sort of record. “Are you following me?” she asked, only half joking. “Now, how could I follow you? I don’t even know your name.” She smiled and picked up her gin and soda. “Peyton,” she said. “Peyton,” he replied, rolling her name around like he was savoring some delicious morsel. “It’s nice to finally meet you.”

“Peyton Sate?” Spencer was a little surprised, and he asked, “Who is Peyton Sate ?” The butler hurriedly explained, “Peyton Sate is a director of our business team. Yesterday, you said you wanted to buy a Concorde. He’s one of the people who are in charge of this.” Spencer wrinkled his brow and asked, “What does he have to report to me? If he has secured the Concorde airline, let the person in charge directly negotiate the price. There’s no need to report to me in person.”

Peyton excitedly claps before she throws the T-shirt at me. “Put it on, Preston. Let’s go celebrate one of my final nights as a Rhodes!” She runs away before she can hear any of my protests.
