Lunar Blessed
It bounced back, red eyes flickering.
“Analyzing,” it said. “Barrier type unknown. Testing parameters.”
It reached out slowly, touching the air where the barrier was. Sparks flew, and it pulled back.
The pack crashed through the gas station door. Inside was warmth and candlelight waited. The shelves were gone, but more symbols were on every wall. And in the middle stood a white-haired woman with milky eyes.
“The Bridge is here,” she said. “Earlier than expected, but time bends around those touched by prophecy.”
