"I am home, and this is my mom," I said and tucked my arm into Joycelyn's. Smiling, I continued, "As for you, we're strangers."
Bianca stepped out of the car at last. She couldn't even muster the courage to meet my eyes as she hoarsely said, "I'm sorry, Leo. I know that I've messed up, so will you please give me one more chance?"
