A Sky-High Lesson: Manners at 30,000 Feet

A Sky-High Lesson: Manners at 30,000 Feet

There were no more lies or betrayals around me, only loyal subordinates and like-minded friends. My phone chimed again. This time, it was a message from my best friend. "Caitlyn, want to go to the newly opened world-renowned restaurant tonight? I heard the head chef is super handsome!" I looked out the window at the azure sky. A silver-white airplane flew across the horizon, leaving a beautiful arc in its wake. I smiled and replied, "Let's go."

Skye

Every instinct screams at me to turn back to the safety of the bridge. The canopies of the remaining pods suddenly open, exposing my companions still in hibernation, utterly unaware of the impending danger. The monitors have either malfunctioned, or this is a safety device. I force myself not to panic as my breathing becomes labored from the lack of oxygen. I have almost reached Beth. She stares up at me, and I can see relief in her eyes. There is no time to consider the consequences. I rip out her tubes and remove the restraints. Globular clusters of blood and fluid float upward to the widening fracture and disappear. Beth stretches out a hand, “Skye, help me,” she whispers.

BENEATH THE SAME SKY

BENEATH THE SAME SKY

Twelve-year-old Lina sat on the floor of the hallway, staring at the high shelf of the linen closet. Ibu Maria was still at the school, likely grading papers to avoid coming home to the emptiness. Lina, however, was restless. The "Wind Seed" story that had once enchanted her now felt like a thin, tattered veil. She was old enough to know that seeds don't just fly; they are planted, or they are dropped. "There’s something up there," she whispered to the shadows. "Something Ibu doesn't want me to see." She dragged a heavy wooden chair from the kitchen, balanced a footstool on top of it, and climbed. Her fingers brushed against a stack of mothball-scented blankets. Shoving them aside, her hand

Betide to Love You

Betide to Love You

The sky is so vast everyone could be free there. “The sky seems so free.. Lydia.” I said to her, She called me to have a picnic and is now using her phone. She hummed, not paying attention to me so I took her phone, “Tyler! Give it back.” She frowned. I turned it off and put it aside. “No, now listen to me.” I said, smiling at her. She sighed and shook her head. “I was saying that the sky is endless.” “Yeah..” “You know, when I saw young my mother used to say that the people who die go to the sky.”

She Runs with Wolves

She Runs with Wolves

To feel – really feel – again was a blessing, and, though I didn’t understand it, or why it had happened to me, or how long it would last for, I did know that, had it been the other way around, my envy would have been written plainly on my face for all to see. And I didn’t even want to be human so badly as Kathrena did. “I wonder why,” she murmured. Then she opened the book to the right page, sitting up straighter. “Anyway. Look at this. Hopefully this is all you’ll need to convince Aradia and the Clan that Skye isn’t a threat to us.” She pushed it towards me, and I chewed on my lip, relishing secretly at the press of my warm skin. It was the very same book that I’d seen in her bedroom, with

I am loving this beautifully written book! The author takes the time to craft the characters and the ways the natural world mirrors this inner world. I love that this is a very different kind of Alpha!

The Challenge

The Challenge

Sometimes, the long paths do not take you to your favourite destination. -----------------------------------------+----------+----------+-------- Do you know? When I was a child I've always adored the sky beyond its limit because at that time I didn't know that it does not have any limit it is neverending like infinity. Those ruffly bundled up clouds whenever looked at me they would be made my mind High, so high that I would get thrilled about it, and think about everything which I don't have.

DEOS

DEOS

Illumination flourished the wholeness of the monotonous sky in outspreading light of purple dye, the tedious of the horizon is broken- but now, a beauty never seen is there sat in front of their eyes. The blankness of the above, the topmost of the world called as sky in the book of DEOS, transfigured. The heavenly bodies seeming like smokes called as clouds appeared- clouds were thought to be non-existent but it really exists- just a perfect element to make a pleasant scene together with the tinted sky.

The Prince Who Was Raised in Hell

The Prince Who Was Raised in Hell

Caspian scanned the book and found that the twisted words on the book, which looked like the Divine Book, became extremely common with the help of wisdom. Soon, Caspian understood the magical power recorded on the book. After reciting the content in his heart, Caspian raised his hand. Suddenly, the sky was split open, and a upside-down iceberg fell from the sky. With a bang, it broke through the earth and pierced in. Crack! The land tens of thousands of miles away was frozen and then cracked. Streaks of red and black tornados rose into the sky, roaring and emitting thick Demon Aura. On these tornados, there were many grimaced faces. Their blood-red eyes stared at Caspian as if they wanted to

What happened to the original writer of this book? The new writer is a far cry from the first one in terms of style, creativity, dialogue and story telling. He has turned a once very arresting story into a very boring one. It is sad.
