ZAVERIO’S POV Damien landed in my lap sooner than I had expected and the thought irked me as I stood in front of his naked form. He was still unconscious after Alvaro knocked him out a second time in the car. I didn’t ask what happened, and from the state of Gio’s face I didn’t need to. This dog didn’t know when to lie down and rest. He held a grudge against me for something I didn’t do. Damien was a goody two shoes who was looking for the killer of his brother, and any other good detective would have looked deeper, but he was family so he saw someone to blame and shot the gun.

" These are the number of attempts on Damien's life, and none were successful! He didn't just earn the prince of Cabin city because of his money! He looked like the oldest amongst them. “Damien spared my life and the life of Joe '' he stated, pointing at the guy with the backpack. I cannot commit such a crime against a man who saved me and gave me another chance. We can't” he explained.

Damon stood by the glass, suit jacket off, sleeves rolled up, looking dangerous and hungry. “Close the door,” he ordered. She did. “Damon, about last night—” He moved fast. In two strides he had her pinned against the cool glass, her back to the city. His big hand yanked her skirt up roughly around her waist. “Shut up,” he growled. “I’ve been hard all day thinking about this dripping cunt.” Before she could argue, he dropped to his knees right there in his expensive suit. His strong hands ripped her soaked panties down her legs and tossed them aside.

They fought on the ground. More shots came from somewhere. Damien’s men arrived. The fight got bigger. I got the kids behind a container. When it was over Damien’s father was on the ground. He was bleeding. Damien stood over him. His father looked up. “You won,” he said. “For now.” He smiled. “But I left something behind. Something that will destroy you even if I die.” He coughed. “The drive… the real one… it is already with someone else. Someone who will release it in twenty four hours if I do not stop it.”

I kept my hands folded in my lap as we drove, wondering what I had gotten myself into by agreeing to this. Inside the car, it was quiet for a long time. I finally broke the silence. “Tell me about your family.” Damien’s expression changed right away. “There’s not much to tell.” “I doubt that,” I said. After a pause, he started talking. “My father remarried after my mother died. Victoria is my stepmother. She likes control.” I smiled a little. “That’s your warning?” “No.” He glanced at me briefly. “This is. Answer only what you’re asked. Don’t volunteer information.”

Damian shifted back and came up on one knee on the floor with his head bowed. "I failed you," he said finally with red eyes. His voice was rough and low. "I lost control and I let Cassius provoke me. Now, we don’t have the antidote." I crouched in front of him. "You have not failed me, Damian,” I said as I placed my hands on the side of his face to force him to look at me. “You have never failed me.” “He had the antidote… and I killed him,” Damian replied, his voice laden with guilt.

He was at least better than the rest, but they all shared one common thing–NO FREEDOM. He covered his blanket head to toe and unwrapped the note his brother gave him.. and a deep frown courted his face at the first read: Damian is still alive but hospitalized. But he is as good as dead lying half-dead since the bullet ruptured his spinal cord. He barely can think or do a thing for himself. So, the complainant will be ruled absent from judgment in court. Don’t fret. That's our script. Do not plead guilty. Don’t trust any prison warder, 90% work for him.

***OMNISCIENT*** Damian grunted as he jumped over the fence and landed on the ground with his hands. Four guards rushed at them immediately and the instant they raised their gun to shoot, he dashed at one of them, twisted the gun out of his grip and raised his knee suddenly to jab the guard in the jaw. The guard stumbled backward and before he could recover, Damian swung the gun in his head, knocking the guard out immediately. Damain sighed and held the gun properly before facing the others.

Damian quickly tackled the thrives to the ground once he braked. The thieves tried to defend themselves, but Damian kicked and punched them faster. His motions were accurate. Even faster than humans. When he pushes one of them, they will be blown away hard. They fainted on the street, and Damian stood arrogantly on the side of it. He took Pearl’s shoulder bag and then patted it. Damian then looked behind. He saw Pearl was hit and hurt. He arrived at her side after a fast run. Damian quickly bends to take Pearl, half lying on the sidewalk. Two men helped her.

Damian muttered quietly as he turned to one of his father's subordinates. One of them approached with a whip. Damian held the whip in his right hand. However, he felt something different as his right hand gripped the whip. It seemed to be because of the gunshot wound on his shoulder, he gently rotated his shoulder joint, it felt uncomfortable. He wouldn't be able to move it freely. "What's wrong?" asked Luca. "My shoulder is a little uncomfortable, I think I'll break it if I use it to swing the whip. You do it, because I don't want a weak arm swinging," Damian said as he moved the whip to his left hand and gave it to Luca.
