Iniko: A New Beginning

Iniko: A New Beginning

I ask. Her eyes are still closed and she holds up a finger as she continues to crunch the bones before swallowing them and opening her eyes. “Hmm, not bad,” she says, smiling at me. “I’m connecting to my hyena. It was Bajaro’s idea. She said hyenas eat the bones of their prey, and she thought it might help me connect to that part of me. I have to admit, it sounded gross, but I kind of like it,” she says, then growls before biting into the bone again and crunching her way through another bite.

Bound by Moonfire

Bound by Moonfire

“Ink is more than ink.” He turned the roll in his fingers; gray dust ghosted the ribbon, too fine for the eye, heavy enough for a nose that knew what to seek. Ash from the old pact-stones south of the river, ground with resin and a breath of iron. Not poison. Not even harm. A mark.

THE DAY I SLAYED MY VAMPIRE LOVER

THE DAY I SLAYED MY VAMPIRE LOVER

Atty. Catherine S. Parinomy vampire loverfantasy vampire love
The calcification did not bleed out slowly”it detonated through his vascular system like lightning striking a tree. His dark muscle tissue solidified into jagged, needle-sharp white crystals that tore through his flesh from the inside out. His iron armor split open as thousand-pound spikes of bone-hard calcium erupted through his steel breastplate, impaling his own limbs and pinning him instantly to the stone floor. The chain reaction didn't stop at his corpse. The brass manifold was linked directly to the subterranean water line. The moment the calcified agent touched the flooded floor, the black, oily water surrounding their legs began to freeze”not into ice, but into a thick, jagged crust

The Twins He Never Knew

The Twins He Never Knew

It was a rendering. The Pain of Being Real Back in the lab, the 3D-printer began a new, unauthorized task. It wasn't printing plastic anymore. The "Bio-Ink" vats—meant for skin-graft research—were being tapped by an invisible hand. The humanized form began to take shape. It wasn't the "Midnight Blue" perfection of the Billionaire bride. It was a raw, visceral process. First, the skeletal structure—fine, delicate bones made of high-tensile carbon. Then, the musculature—red, pulsing, and fueled by the raw "Friction" Nora had harvested from the server crash.

Linked by Blood and Bone

Linked by Blood and Bone

"What's in this?" "Glow-moss roots, crushed iron-root, and a few things you really don't want to know about," Kaelin replied dryly, leaning against her workbench and crossing her scarred arms. "Drink up if you want to keep breathing. Because you have a much bigger problem than a few broken bones." Zeyric took a cautious sip, wincing at the searing, metallic taste before forcing the rest down. "What problem? We have Malakor's ledgers hidden in our boots."

INTERNAL SIN

INTERNAL SIN

I looked at my nails and realized I needed some red or maybe black nail polish. Red would look much better because it symbolized a variety of ideas, including my love for Rhys, the color of Blaze's blood, as well as danger and rage. Definitely red. Black, however, would also look lovely. Like Rhys' wings—so pretty. And darkness—my new safe haven—was comforting. At the very least, I knew that darkness would always be present when the sun went down, the lights went out, or I closed my eyes. It was always there, enveloping me wholly and making me feel less lonely.

Rising from the Ashes

Rising from the Ashes

She turned, holding them out with a smile. Mikayla gave a cold snort, ready to dismiss them as trash. However, as her eyes fell on the pills, she froze in shock. She exclaimed, "Bone-Mending Pills… They work directly on the human skeletal and meridian systems! These are premium seven-grade pills. Each one costs at least a million dollars or more. And most high-level alchemists can't even produce these. You're saying Andrew gave these to you?"

Very good story and the ending was relatively good since each part of the story give a obvious closure. The audio book is also available the whole story. Other authors should follow this example. There is nothing worse than a forced ending or a cut off story, so this story gets all stars, great job!

Human bones, weathered by time and the relentless flow of water, intertwine with the skulls, creating a haunting display of mortality. The ethereal glow from the waysticks casts shadows upon the skeletal structures, illuminating the intricate details of the bones. Delicate features of the skulls become visible, their curves and contours accentuated by the soft light. The translucent layer of calcium, formed from the presence of limestone fragments packed between bone and stone, overlays the skulls and bones, creating a patchwork effect. In some places, the layer appears frosted, obscuring certain details, while in other areas, it is more transparent, emphasizing the eerie beauty of the skele

The Prince Who Was Raised in Hell

The Prince Who Was Raised in Hell

Soon, he found that these three long things were bones. On the surface of each bone, a few words were engraved. The lustrous white bone was the Bone of Wind, the fiery red one was the Bone of Flame, and the ice-blue was the Bone of Thunder. When he got close to the Bone of Wind, Caspian immediately felt a gust of strong wind blowing on him. When he got close to the Bone of Flame, Caspian immediately felt the high temperature as if it was magma, which made his skin burn. Then, Caspian's eyes lit up when he approached the Bone of Thunder.

What happened to the original writer of this book? The new writer is a far cry from the first one in terms of style, creativity, dialogue and story telling. He has turned a once very arresting story into a very boring one. It is sad.

To the Bone

To the Bone

They don’t pretend. At school, nothing changes. The same classes, the same bored teachers, the same students pretending not to feel anything. He sits in the back, doodling in his notebook, sketching bones and skeletons almost unconsciously. A morbid habit, but a harmless one. Better bones on paper than bones in his bed. At lunch, Jamie slides into the seat across from him. Jamie's got a sharp face and sharper tongue, always too curious for his own good. “You hear about the new girl?” Jamie asks.
