The Reaper's sons

The Reaper's sons

For some reason, they think that living in fear and constant movement is better than what humans have under the dome. The New Invictus City was built by a bunch of Royal Vampires claiming they were going to change the world and make it better. Invictus means "unconquerable" or "undefeated," and the Vampires are incredibly proud of that. Ironically, their city is hidden, protected by high walls - shielded from everyone. They haven't changed much about the old city- the first change they brought was the dome over the buildings to shield themselves from the sunlight. The people who live in the city have no idea what the sun looks like. I often dream and think about what life would be like out t

Rejected Protector

Rejected Protector

The audience gets quiet, waiting to hear what I’m going to say. “This poem is called Unapologetically Me. We go through different things in life that cause us pain. We have people in our lives, who make it their mission to break us or destroy us, but we are stronger than that. So, I dedicate this to all of us who have ever been through heartache and survived.” Unapologetically Me By Lotta Patterson © 2021 You tried to break me, But I’m unbreakable. You tried to shake me,

Excellent! One of the best books I have read here. Great storyline, written well and full of action. Held my interest from start to finish. Awesome job author will be looking for more of your completed work.

A Queen Among Snakes

A Queen Among Snakes

I shouldn’t even be surprised; my life has never been any different. No. That’s a lie. My life was different at Invictus. Everyone there gave me space and time. Let me do things my way at my own pace. My life was peaceful there. Invictus was my sanctuary that protected me from everything dark and cruel in this world, and as soon as I was taken away from it, it was like every ounce of cruelty the world has to offer was waiting for me on the other side and didn’t hesitate to swallow me whole.

I absolutely loved this book. It was such a welcome change to have a timid and sweet main character. The writing is so great, and had me in tears multiple times. my heart broke and soared along with the story. I would highly recommend this book!

i thought book 2 couldn't possibly live up to book 1 but i am so happy to be wrong. this just moved the entire series forward and was even better than the first. i think i'm a huge Mei stan now and am so excited to start the next book. i rarely cry at books, but this one got me several times.

The Entangled Fate

The Entangled Fate

He felt the vibe as he went on… The wind whispers the tales of our fight The rain washes away the blood we shed The sun rises to greet us with its light As we march on, with each step ahead We leave behind our homes and loved ones To answer the call of duty and honor Our hearts beat as one, our spirit never runs As we fight for our land, our people, and our valor We face the enemy, fearless and brave Our swords clash with a thunderous sound We never falter, never turn back or waive Our foes tremble as they fall to the ground The fallen ones, our brothers in arms Their names carved in stone, their memory lives on

After The Storm.

After The Storm.

------------ "And I pick myself up And I dust off the words You tried to stick me with 'Cause I know words are words Angry little vowels And conscientious letters Surrounded by derogatory question marks And accusatory exclamations. And at the end of the day I remember words are power (But only power if you believe them) So I pick my vowels and my letters And I stick myself with my own word: Strong I am Strong.." -----Raven White

The Alpha King Stubborn Mate

The Alpha King Stubborn Mate

If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breathe a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the will which says to them: 'Hold on!' If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with
